Sebago Lake

I'm fishing the divisional on Sebago lake next september. I'm looking for some info. I'm not looking for GPS coordinates, but rather, patterns, depths, colors, techniques, baits, etc. What size bag should I be looking for that time of year? Should I be targeting smallmouth or largemouth? What depth is considered fishing deep or shallow on Sebago? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

As in the TBF Divisional? I thought it was going be on the Connecticut River?

AHHHH, well I heard from it was tough for the 2011 TBF Eastern Divisionals.  LOTS of 0's...  There is a Marina near the lauch (assuming you are going out of the Resort on the lake) that gave up a few nice fish.  My buddy had a great top water bite in 40-something feet of water for smallies one day.  By in large a very difficult tournament (mid September).  Maybe you know some of the competitors and they can help with more specifics.

 Ive fished a few tournaments in Sept on Sebago. Northern bass supply has been having an open that time of year on sebago for several years now. It certainly can be tough. I would catch a limit of smalies then try and upgrade with largemouth. It certainly can be tough that time of year for sure. If you get a 12-15 lb you will be in contention. One thing that you may want to consider when prefishing. They draw down the lake in sept. usually around 5 feet sometimes more. I grew up 30 min from the standish launch. If you want to do some prefishing in Sept let me know.
