I personally don't care for the twistlock or ones with a small pin up front, I like having the bait cover the eye, so there is more plastic surrounding the main hook itself... but thats my preference that has worked well for me.

This year I'm trying those crimp on weights from Bass Pro.  I'll be using them on Gammi EWGs and Owner twistlocks.

just use the Owner beast hooks .........

Figured using the crimp ons would give me the ability to play with the position of the weight, varying the action by bait.   Plan to try them with senkos, small swimbaits, and maybe even some chigger craws/pacas to see how it works.  Also planning on picking up some of those snagless brewer slider heads to play with too.

i am saying , why put crimp on weights on an Owner twistlock , just makes sense to just buy some beast weighted hooks  ;)

Maybe he already has a bunch of unweighted hooks, i.e. enough hooks, just not enough weighted ones? Never used the beast, but it looks good to me.

Again, wanted to experiment with position of weight, with different baits.
