Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted March 5, 2010 Super User Posted March 5, 2010 Owner beast hooks are the best weighted hooks , period ............... Quote
IwillChooseFreeWill Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I personally don't care for the twistlock or ones with a small pin up front, I like having the bait cover the eye, so there is more plastic surrounding the main hook itself... but thats my preference that has worked well for me. Quote
Chris Waggoner Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 I agree....Gamakatsu is the way to go. Quote

BC Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 This year I'm trying those crimp on weights from Bass Pro. I'll be using them on Gammi EWGs and Owner twistlocks. Quote
Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted March 9, 2010 Super User Posted March 9, 2010 This year I'm trying those crimp on weights from Bass Pro. I'll be using them on Gammi EWGs and Owner twistlocks. just use the Owner beast hooks ......... Quote
BC Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Figured using the crimp ons would give me the ability to play with the position of the weight, varying the action by bait. Plan to try them with senkos, small swimbaits, and maybe even some chigger craws/pacas to see how it works. Also planning on picking up some of those snagless brewer slider heads to play with too. Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted March 9, 2010 Super User Posted March 9, 2010 a little pushy, pgersumky! haha i am saying , why put crimp on weights on an Owner twistlock , just makes sense to just buy some beast weighted hooks Quote
Nine Miler Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 a little pushy, pgersumky! haha i am saying , why put crimp on weights on an Owner twistlock , just makes sense to just buy some beast weighted hooks Maybe he already has a bunch of unweighted hooks, i.e. enough hooks, just not enough weighted ones? Never used the beast, but it looks good to me. Quote
