I teach 5th grade in a middle class town in KS. At the beginning of the year I challenge my students to read and pass a comprehension test on 11 different genres before Christmas break, if they meet the goal they get to choose a prize that I will buy them, under $10. Last week I had my second student pass the challenge. She is a sweet little girl who does not seem like an outdoors type at all, and then she wanted me to buy her, her first tackle box. I was so excited, went to the local BPS and bought one for her. Her smile was so big today when I presented it to her!

What an awesome day!

I wish some of my grade school teachers were more creative when it came to motivation!!

That was a nice thing to do. To reward a youngster for doing good work is something that seems to have fallen by the wayside.

When she does something nice again don't forget Shimano reels and G. Loomis rods!!!!!!

Keep up the good work.

Awesome thing you do there Brad.

Who was more excited, you or her? I coached 11-12 year olds who never played baseball. I know exactly how you feel.

Be honest. You didn't walk out of BPS with just that tackle box did you?

I did walk out with just the tackle box. One of my greatest acomplishments.
