I was thinking of buying two Hummingbird 597ci HD DI combos but it looks like this new product may be a way better choice with the 7" screen when it becomes available.

I've had this unit on the water for several weeks as part of testing/product validation and am very impressed with overall performance. Target separation and clarity with both 2D sonar and downscan was great. At its price point, the Elite 7 HDI will be a very popular unit.

this years xmas gift to myself. will replace my Elite 5 on the console. trying to decide if I need the unit with the downscan or not. I had an Elite 5x dsi on the bow and was not impressed. replaced it with an HDS 7.
