CPBassFishing Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 What is your favorite bait to use on a drop shot? I like the power team lures hammr shad the most. The tail floats so it is even with the head on a drop shot rig. I fish from shore so when I use roboworms the tail just sinks and I don't get any bites. I catch them on the hammer shad though. Quote
Clint C. Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I fish from shore too. Give the 4" Z-Man finesse wormz a try. They float really well and I always get a bite on them =0) Another plus is they are d**n near indestructible. One pack goes a long way! Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted December 6, 2012 Super User Posted December 6, 2012 Zoom Finesse Worm. Quote

Started fishing the Hammer Shad this year, very productive lure and my favorite as well for this application. Quote

Bass Junkie Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Jackall Cross Tail Shad is my personal favorite, and doesn't get a lot of press around here. Quote
Super User WRB Posted December 9, 2012 Super User Posted December 9, 2012 Basstrix Flash minnow and Fat Minnow, nose hooked or Roboworms in various sizes. Tom Quote
Super User Shane J Posted December 9, 2012 Super User Posted December 9, 2012 Although I have had alot of sucess on a Baby Craw, the 3" single tail Grub, the Menace, and a half of a 7" Thumper on a drop shot, the bait I have and am using now catches more than all those combined. It's a Rage Tail prototype, and when it comes out, it's going to set the drop shot world on fire! It's killer!!! Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted December 10, 2012 Super User Posted December 10, 2012 Day in and day out a 4" finesse worm is hard to beat. Brand has never mattered, just what ever I like at that time. Zoom, robo, netbait, strike king, GYCB, etc.. I have caught good fish on all of them. Quote
