Super User South FLA Posted December 3, 2012 Super User Posted December 3, 2012 Good thing we already had a National Championship game IMO. ND is wishing for an upset, but if they beat Bama the Mayan calendar may not be wrong! The only BCS bowl game worth watching other than the vetting of ND against a top caliber opponent is Kansas State vs Oregon, that should be fun. The only other bowl game that looks interesting and its not even a BCS game is the Chic-Fil-A Bowl featuring Clemson and LSU. What is your take on the BCS bowl games or other bowl games? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 3, 2012 Super User Posted December 3, 2012 I thought the Rose Bowl would be fun, but Nebraska's total collapse spoiled their entire season. Quote
Super User Sam Posted December 3, 2012 Super User Posted December 3, 2012 Northern Illinois messed up the original sets of opponents so the bowls had to make changes to the projected pairings. I can see the stands full with "standing room only" crowds for the Orange Bowl. Florida's fans will take over the Sugar Bowl. Will the Nebraska fans travel to watch the Rose Bowl? Aggies and Sooners will fill up the Cotton Bowl. And of course, the Bamasux fans will be going bonkers to watch their beloved Dead Water take on the Nuns along with the Domers. LSU-Clepson could be a good game. Depends on what team shows up for LSU - the one that played AM, ***** and Bamasux great games or a ho-hum effort like they did for Ole MIss, NorthTexas, Awbunn and Towson. There will be some great games. One will be to see if Virginia Tech, who has defeated Rutgers for 14 straight games, can continue the streak. Is it time for the Scarlet Knights to show the Honkies what they can do as Rutgers moves to the Big 14? However, I agree with Hog Tech: The Fiesta Bowl should be one of the great games. This could have been the BCS National Championship game. With this match up and the Bamasux-Nuns game we get to see how the top four teams would have done had the bowl playoff system been in use. Should be a fun bowl season once again. Quote
Quillback Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I'm all fired up for Boise St vs WA, AR State vs Kent State, Oregon vs K State, and of course AL vs ND. Quote
SDoolittle Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Will the Nebraska fans travel to watch the Rose Bowl? No, but they might travel to watch the Capital One Bowl. As a Sooners fan, I'm a little disappointed that OU got bumped out of the BCS, but the Cotton Bowl vs aTm should be a good game. Quote
Super User Sam Posted December 3, 2012 Super User Posted December 3, 2012 Bird Dog, you and a lot of people are upset that OU has been left out. What would have been smart would have been to have the top 10 BCS teams play each other: #1 vs #2 #3 vs #4 #5 vs #6 #7 vs # 8 #9 vs #10 With the understanding that there would be no repeat games. Meaning that if LSU pulled South Carolina they would not play and LSU would take on K-State or Oregon. Congrats to Northern Illinois but really, is that a joke or what? I guess I will tune in to see either FSU be embarassed or the Seminoles run up the score. Hope the stands are full since the ACC Championship game was an embarassment when the TV cameras caught the fans in the stands. Quote
shootermcbob Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I guess I am in the minority, but I think Oregon runs all over, around, and thru the Kansas State defense. Did anyone watch the K-State vs. Baylor game???? Oregon is much better than Baylor...especially defensively. I hope not, don't care for Chip Kelly, and really respect Bill Snyder. Hope K-State wins, but don't they can keep up Oregon. Quote
Super User Marty Posted December 4, 2012 Super User Posted December 4, 2012 Not a particularly exciting slate of games other than the title game. Quote

sbfishySC Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I know I'm biased as I'm a Clemson student....but Clemson vs LSU should be a really good game. Honestly, I have no interest in watching ND & Alabama....Hate both of them. K-State & Oregon is no doubt going to be a good game. Outside of the Clemson-LSU game, that's the one I want to watch, along with OU-A&M. Quote
RyneB Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 i dont care what happens, as long as Notre Dame loses. I would like to see Northern Illinois get a win. Noones giving them any respect. But let me tell you, they are a talented team. But pry dont stand a chance against fsu Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 10, 2012 Super User Posted December 10, 2012 A&M vs OU should be fun! Quote
tnbassfisher Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 As an SEC fan, I'm a little upset not to see Georgia in a BCS game. Quote
