Caught this one at El Dorado Lake in Kansas today, from the shore.

20.5 " and 4.75 lb

Caught it on a Ned Rig on a 5'6" light action spinning ugly stik on 8lb test

Nice looking fish. Bet it was a heck of a fight on a light rod.

Gotta love catching big bass in December from the bank! And on a light setup no less. Nice catch.

I actually thought that was a typo when he said 'ned rig'. Go figure. Seems like it would catch a lot of fish. I might have to pick up some jig heads and give this a try.

I googled it too and found some pretty interesting stuff on it as well. It does seem like it would slay fish. Unfortunately, I live in south Louisiana so it's uses would be super limited for me with the exposed hook. Still, a cool little rig and a great fish taken with it!
