It was then that the horror washed over me as I realized that in my giddiness to wrap my gift I had forgotten to put in the card for my giftee.. Sorry Jeff :(

Can't fish with a card! No just kidding. I will forgive you just this once!

No you aren't but it's a busy time of year and really easy to forget to get to the post office. Christmas is still a week and a half away anyways.

A big thanks to Adam from KY. I recieved some really nice baits.

Striker 90 in ghost smog

A bunch of Robo Worms (Aarons Magic)

Shad Eye 2 drop shot baits

This is all dead on for the type of fishing I like to do.

I didn't get a chance to snap a pic, but I received an awesome package from NorcalBassin. It had a set of Siebert's Storm series jigs, a pack of RageTail Craws, "The Snip" line cutter tool and a pack of Senkos in watermelon w/ copper, orange and red.

Like I told Chad in a PM -- this is why I really enjoy this exchange. I never would have picked out Senkos in that pattern myself, but now that I've seen them I can't wait to throw them around bluegill beds in the spring. They look like they should be killer at that time of year. It's great to have a platform like this to allow fishermen to share their tips, tricks and even color patterns with others, in the hopes of opening someone else's eyes to something new.

Thanks to Jeremyt for a really outstanding Christmas present. I have always wanted to get in on the megabass craze but have never allowed myself to pick one up. I can't wait to try this pop-x. The Roboworms and Senko's are great. Both are worms that I just started fishing in the last year and I have become a big fan of both. Wow, winter can't get over fast enough.

A HUGE thanks goes out to Sfritr for hooking me up for X-Mas! I got a little of everything! Making me want to get out on the water now! And I waited till X-Mas as hard as that was!

whats the exchange?

In November of each year you can sign up for a Christmas gift exchange... Fd takes all the names, mixes them up, and you buy for one person (send it to them) and a different person does the same for you. Awesome way to get some new gear!

Thanks to retiredbosn (Todd)! You did an awesome job picking out the tackle for where I fish. I'm going to throw that Ghost Minnow LC Pointer this weekend, those kut tails will kill all summer long, and the Bull Gill swim jig with a Rage Tail grub trailer will be killer this spring. Thanks again!

Uh oh, i feel kinda like a ****** bag - I didnt realize this was a post for pictures of the exchange, sorry guys I didnt mean to show off. None of my friends actually take fishing seriously enough to know what half of that stuff was, so I came here and posted them. Sorry again lol

Thanks for the great loot Chris! I had to wait open it today as per Santa McAlpine's instructions. It just so happens i'm putting in a TW order in a few day's for a 7'6" spinning Dobyns for lighter lures. Now I have tubes and Gulp's for it. And thanks for taking the edge off my winter withdrawal with the BPS DVD.

And many thanks for organizing the Fishmas exchange FishinDaddy. Its something I really look forward to. No only b/c you get cool stuff but b/c it kicks you out of ur 'lure comfort zone'. You get to try things you wouldn't have normally bought. Merry Fishmas everyone!
