Hey thanks guys! I'm from Wisconsin

Where abouts in WIsconsin? I fish a lot of South East WI lakes.

Those jigs look great, and love the new rubber. I still have pounds of the older rubber in 4 or 5 colors

so am tying mine with it. I will eventully purchase some of the newer color designs. Your jigs are very

nice, and you will have to trim down your weedguards prior to fishing them. Otherwise you are an artist.

Cadman I'm from the La Crosse area about 2 hrs away from Madison. Were do you fish at?

Down thanks bro, the weedguards got trimmed after the picture haha

I belong to two bass clubs and fish a couple local tourney circuits up at Madison Chain, Big Green Lake, Lake Geneva, Lake Delavan and a whole bunch of smaller S.E Wisconsin Lakes. Some great fisheries in the southern end of Wisconsin.

It is phenominal fishing. Many times 20-30 fish days, especially Geneva and Delavan. I've never fished the Mississippi River, however I have fished the WI River for walleye and sauger below and above the dam. Another good body of water where you can usually get big numbers of fish and very often some sturgeon.

You guys ever try any of our waters here in NY? We have some pretty good fishing also.

My Avatar calls me a fry, but I have been building and tying jigs for over 20 years now. I used to bass fish tourneys up

and down the east coast back in the 80's and 90's, but quit to Tuna fish for a few years. I live in the Western Mountains

of Maine now, and back into the bass fishing, but pleasure only. A lot has changed in the past 10 years, with better

molds, skirts, and color paints. It is easy for a new comer to build a nice looking jig today. I am retired, so I have a

lot of time for hobbies. My bass fishing now is in the western mountains of Maine. Gin clear water, and deep. I like

seeing a lot of us with the same hobby and in different parts of the country. Its a fraternity.

Cad- I've heard that same about the WI river as well man I have to make a trip down there this summer. I haven't had a 20-30 fish day in a while. I've been into big lures for the bigger girls the last few years.

down- I have been tying jig's for about 3 years now started when I was 17, just trying to not go crazy in the long winters here in WI.

I love seeing WI bass fishermen.. I sometimes think its like a lonely world up here compared to down south where every one is after the monster bass in ponds or just about anywhere.. I'm about 2 hours east of lacrosse right on the Wisconsin river. I haven't thrown jigs ever, just planning on starting this spring but I really like the orange skirt one, looks like a nice pumpkinseed/bluegill. I wish I knew how to tie jigs!

I wish I knew how to tie jigs!

Wouldnt call it rocket science. I migrated from fly tying to bass jigs in under five mins.
