Indiana Bass1 Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Call it the bait monkey or what, but this has to be a sickness men. I already have over 500 crankbaits in the boat and I pick up another dozen at the classic. Buy 3 reels to go with the 40 already on hand. WOW! And today I am looking to but a few rods. I already have so many on the deck you cant hardly move around. Simply CRAZY. LOL Quote
midnighthrasher Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Heres a couple pic of my winter purchases... There are more on the way Quote
tnbassfisher Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Any time you want to send some of those crankbaits my way, feel free. Yes I have. I've gotten probably ten new bags of plastics, various crankbaits, jigs, hooks, weights. I bought two new rods and reels right after Christmas. I can't even walk into Wal-Mart without buying some hooks and weights. Quote

SWH Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 For those of you unstocking the boat or tackle box. What do you do with the baits your unstocking? do you sell them back online or just toss them or give them to others? just curious as i think i would have to try and sell some myself if i had that much and unopened at that. urban_angler28 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I got it real bad, i can see bps out the window from my girls house. I have to drive by it everyday. I,ve been loading up on cranks, swimbaits and jigs. I'm making strike king filthy rich Quote
backwater4 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Added a few Bandit 200 cranks, Red Eye Shads, some blade baits (silver buddies etc) got into this late in the fall last year and re stocked some plastics. I've been unloading a lot of the stuff I dont use anymore. Quote

For the most part the stuff I take out of my main box I just transfer to other boxes in the garage. There are times I go back and dig something out and try it again. Quote

I give mine to my nephews. Crazy too.... I could have a crap lure that cant even catch weeds and these guys can catch all day with them. I gave them a crazy crawler that i broke 1 leg off last year and the next day one of them nailed his PB 4lb lmb. Its great for them because instead of playing video games or watching tv they are fishing. Quote
BriBass Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I'm even in worse shape - I bought all the stuff to start pouring my own plastics, so I am going to be covered up in baits! me too!.. box should arrive wednesday this should be interesting Quote
backwater4 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Normally sell or try to trade the stuff I haven't used in a while. Most of it is extra's I bought thinking it was the last bait I'd ever need again. Quote

scrutch Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 how do u keep from opening up some of those packages??!!?? i cant wait to open 'em up and rearrange my boxes to make room. Quote
IwillChooseFreeWill Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 I am a minimalist, I only buy what I need, what works most of the time and don't bother with the rest. On a rare occasion I will spend a little to see if something new works but thats usually only a single or small pack. This winter I did spend almost $300: Pflueger Trion GX-7 spinning rod/reel combo, 7' Med. 1 piece rod BPS $25 rod/reel combo with 6'6" M rod for panfish and light bass fishin 300 yd 12 lb Pline CX all sorts of lures Replacement transducer for my PiranhaMAX 215 and stuff for a removable mount for my canoe Handheld GPS Quote
