Diggy Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 I bought one on a whim, thought what the heck everyone is talking about how good these are. I could not get mine to cast more than about 25yards. I thought it was proabably just over lubed from the factory so I did a complete disassembly, flushed all the bearings oiled them up with rocket fuel, and it still cast about 25yards. Sold it for $40 bucks and never looked back. Probably just a bad reel, but it was enough to make me not want another one. Even with the brakes set properly? Some people never realized there were internal brakes...usually set high. Mine bombs all weights of baits. Id have bought a 5 ratio also but they were out during the spring sale sale, so only got a 7 Quote

The brakes and spool tension were set correctly. 1 Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted November 27, 2012 Super User Posted November 27, 2012 I've been really impressed with the couple I have. They're certainly not in the same class as my Chronarchs or Curado E's, but it's probably the best sub-$100 reel around. Quote
