Super User roadwarrior Posted November 27, 2012 Super User Posted November 27, 2012 My questions: 1. Do you use a trailer: never, sometimes or always? 2. Do you use a stinger hook: never, sometimes or always? 3. How do you trim shirts or do you not? 4. What is the reason for choosing white, chartreuse or a combination of the two? 5. Give of some guidelines on different blades. 6. And finally, which weight for what situations? Bonus Question: Tips on presentations? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted November 27, 2012 Super User Posted November 27, 2012 Three questions: 1. Just three? LOL. 1. Never 2. Always 3. Never 4. They just work in most situations 5. Willow burn easier, Colorados spin on the slow roll, tandems are somewhere in between and are good for deflection 6. Add weight to increase depth and keep the same speed, or add weight to increase speed and maintain depth. Bonus: Anytime you can deflect the bait, you increase your chances of getting a strike Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 27, 2012 Super User Posted November 27, 2012 I guess I got carried away. Thanks! 1 Quote

Bobby Uhrig Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 HMMM I must be on to something here Quote
Will Wetline Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I decided to try a tube of MegaStrike scent when ordering direct from GYCB. I figured if Yamamoto carried it, it had to be a good product. On the water, I applied it to a Lunker City Hellgie which, to my nose, has a kind of industrial smell to it - not pleasant. The MegaStrike-smeared bait hit the bottom and it took me a bit to catch up to it because a 3 1/2 lb. smallie had picked it up immediately and was moving off with it. So . . . without extensive testing I can't say for sure this scent makes a great difference, but it sure didn't hurt. 1 Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted December 4, 2012 Super User Posted December 4, 2012 If you fish big soft plastic swimbaits (or soft plastic conventional stuff) and don't use Megastrike they you are doing yourself a disservice and likely costing yourself money. Helps keep bass teeth from biting right into the plastic as it lubes the bait. 1 Quote
bassin is addicting Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Cavitron Buzzbait is THE best.... imo i use Megastrike on most every soft plastic i use...i also put some up on the line about a foot or so to help it come through grass..etc. the jigs stand up like no other jig i've used. i'm curious about the spinnerbaits.. the 25% sale might cause me to try them out Quote
Bobby Uhrig Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Glenn and a lot of other members here have met me at shows and on the water.Yes I am unorthodox in many ways but I am a straight shooter and well respected in and out of the industry. This is what I do for a living--I am on the water all the time -also under it learning fish behavior for over 25 years.I design products to catch fish. I am a fisherman just like you. I have been serious bass fishing for over 35 years. Worked with the best in the business. Would you rather buy products that are from a die hard fisherman or some guy in a suit sitting behind a desk that has never even been on a fishing boat. Hmm I back every product we make 100% -If you dont like it-we buy it back- and we sell to the largest retailers all over the world.. Try to get your money back from the guy in the suit behind the desk. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted December 7, 2012 Super User Posted December 7, 2012 I hear Megastrike is the cure for chapped lips. Quote
