Brian Needham Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 anyone use it? is it any good? I like using the Lucas products in the truck, so I ask why not my reels? Quote
TNBassin' Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 I've wondered the same. I use Berkley reel oil and the stuff that comes with the Abu reels and really never noticed a huge difference between the two. I think it's just all marketing. Lucas makes quality stuff though, so why not?? Quote
Kevinator1 Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 anyone use it? is it any good? I like using the Lucas products in the truck, so I ask why not my reels? I just bought some but haven't tried it yet. I looked at the MSDS sheet and it is Paraffinic Oil. (mineral oil) It should be somewhat like Shimano Bantam Oil. Quote
Stasher1 Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 I've been using their gun oil for years. I'd have no problem using their reel oil. 1 Quote
Super User *Hootie Posted November 25, 2012 Super User Posted November 25, 2012 As DVT has stated many times, it's just oil, not magic. Hootie Quote
Super User LgMouthGambler Posted November 25, 2012 Super User Posted November 25, 2012 Maybe it helps "cold starts" for winter fishing, lol. 1 Quote
Brian Needham Posted November 25, 2012 Author Posted November 25, 2012 true, true.......I guess I read too much........thin oil.......thick oil.....dry lube..... GRRRR the options! I am starting to pile up the good gear and wanting to make sure to get the best/most out of that gear. but I think "its oil, not magic" sums it up. Quote
