I think I remember hearing that one of these 2 companies makes junk. Which one was it?

How would each of you rate the quality of each companies baits?

i personally only by the matzuo baits when theyre in the bargain bin at sports authority for a dollar.

then i take them out saltwater fishing and let speckled trout tear them to shreds.

if a spanish or shark gets one.... who cares? it was a dollar and sucked anyway.

Matzuo baits have a much lower standard of quality.

Matzuo are bad, they roll on their side while cranking it.

I have never used Matzuo, but from reading the other responses I am not missing anything.  Yo-Zuri are weird looking, but I have done well with them, espeically the jerkbaits.  With my luck with Yo-Zuri, and others against Matzuo I guess it was Matzstinko you heard.

I picked up some Matzuo poppers on clearance at Wal-mart, but I haven't gotten to use them yet because I don't think they'd work very well as an ice fishing lure.

I had a 20# striper break a matzuo in half! :'( I fished a yo-zuri in the same manner, it's still producing fish a year later. I do still buy matzuo, but only on clearance and I dont expect too much from these in terms of durability.

You'll be finding yourself throwing those in the garbage once you fish them once.

They are "ALWAYS" on clearance at walmart. For a good reason too...they pull in every sucker who hasn't tried them yet.
