Super User Bankbeater Posted November 22, 2012 Super User Posted November 22, 2012 Mine is pretty simple. I keep me and the kids away from my wife while she is fixing the feast. She doesn't like distractions while cooking a big meal. Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted November 22, 2012 Super User Posted November 22, 2012 Going out fishing with my dad at the break of dawn to chase holdover trout and throw swimbaits in case some pigs are on the prowl. Then football and eating til we pass out! Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted November 22, 2012 Super User Posted November 22, 2012 Its not turkey day here without the homemade rolls.... om nom nom.. And then we watch the Cowboys kick some butt . 1 Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted November 22, 2012 Super User Posted November 22, 2012 Warm up by talking about religion before dinner, which leads to politics during dinner, which leads to bad name calling and possible food fight, which leads to leaving early, which leads to me getting my way by coming home to enjoy the rest of my day in peace and quiet, HAHAHA. Super User slonezp Posted November 22, 2012 Super User Posted November 22, 2012 Go to my sisters house. Watch football. 1 smoked turkey and 1 deep fried. Mess with my brothers wife until she won't speak to me. Corrupt my sisters friends son until his mother won't speak to me(I don't care for her one bit. Best part about it is she yells at her husband for my actions). Corrupt my neice until my sister won't speak to me, followed by my mother saying "Why are you like this? You didn't get it from me." "No, Mom. I got it from Pa(my grandfather). Mess with my nephew who is autistic. Drives me crazy because he ignores me(The ONLY person that I can't get under his skin) Watch a "play" the kids put on. Go to the ol' ladies house and start all over again. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted November 22, 2012 Super User Posted November 22, 2012 I think I'll hide a Senko in the mashed potatos this year. That should cause quite a stir. 1 Quote

Super User SirSnookalot Posted November 22, 2012 Super User Posted November 22, 2012 The bluefish and mackerel are in, I'll be fishing for them at first light, hope they show up today, ya just never know. Driving up to Jupiter at noon to be with family and I'm going to miss my beloved Lions who have been playing on Thanksgiving since 1934. Can't say as that I'm that upset, they're playing like crap anyway. Quote

BB having gone this route a time or two in the past, I am resolved to not discuss the above. Leaving early does have its merits though... Have a great day all y'all! Quote
shootermcbob Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 I have several traditions for this holiday. I mean a lot. We go to my mother-in-laws first...I eat way too much....then nap We go to my sisters house....I eat way too much...then nap We go back home...I eat way too much...then nap Hey, I am starting to sense a pattern Finally, after I finally can breathe again....I eat some "snacks"...again...way too much. One thing I just realized...I am turning into my DAD!!! Quote
tipptruck1 Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 As a single guy. With family a 2 hour drive a way. I just stay home. I hate turkey with a passion. So I wake up when ever I feel like. Usually well after noon. Yea I am aware its before noon as I type this. Its a long story. Watch as little of tv as I can. Play video games or surf the web all day. Then for lunch and super. I find what ever I can. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted November 22, 2012 Super User Posted November 22, 2012 I hate the holidays always have but I do have a few traditions I guess I usually start the morning out with trying to kill some deer thus resulting to me showing up late and covered in blood haha. Then I eat some of my moms stuffing demand she saves the left overs for me and split because once again I hate all holidays. Quote

Fish Chris Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Well usually, I get invited to a T-day dinner, which is really nice, and much appreciated,,,, But I never look for a somewhere to have a T-day dinner, and that way, if nobody asks, Whoo Hoo ! I can go Striper or Sturgeon fishing ....which is what I did yesterday. Unfortunately, after fishing all day, I finally hooked a 150-200 lb'er, fought it for about 3-4 min, at which point, it ran for the surface, threw a $#!+ fit, and then threw my hook / bait right back at me Oh well, if I had stayed hooked up, I'd have been coming home in the dark. I'll land that monster (or its big brother) Monday Peace, Fish Quote

BASSclary, What happened to kicking butt? BC... they sure made it interesting late and had me back on the edge of my seat for a minute. Great to see the Skins competitive again (past few years have not been much fun). The end of the game was giving me stress attacks, it had me so worked up I didnt get to sleep until 11 Quote
