Super User roadwarrior Posted November 19, 2012 Super User Posted November 19, 2012 This is a lock for Best Actor and Best Picture of the year. I expect it will win a number of technical awards as well. If you only go to the theater one time this year, this is a movie you will never forget! Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted November 19, 2012 Super User Posted November 19, 2012 I will have to wait until it comes out on DVD. If I try to take the kids to see something like this it will cause a riot. Quote
Super User Tuckahoe Joe Posted November 19, 2012 Super User Posted November 19, 2012 Looks good. Glad they made a legitimate Lincoln movie. How bout that 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter'? How could they have thought that was a good idea? Quote
SDoolittle Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 I want to see it, but I'll probably have to wait until it's out on DVD. Quote
Super User MarkH024 Posted November 20, 2012 Super User Posted November 20, 2012 I can't wait to see this. DDL is one of my favorite actors. Should be a great watch. Quote

Super User Sam Posted November 20, 2012 Super User Posted November 20, 2012 As a follow up to the movie, you may want to read or listen to Bill O'Reilly's book, The Killing of Lincoln. It is a riverting read and you will be hooked from the first chapter to the end. Quote

Super User retiredbosn Posted November 21, 2012 Super User Posted November 21, 2012 Looks good. Glad they made a legitimate Lincoln movie. How bout that 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter'? How could they have thought that was a good idea? My little sister was telling me about the vampire thing, said it was a book. She is a vampire nut (not twilight) think she has every book Ann Rice ever wrote. Then again she is young and blonde, not a good combo! Epitomizes every blonde joke Quote
The Rooster Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 It was a great movie. Went to see it Friday night. There was one story in it that Lincoln told that was absolutely hilarious. Whole audience was laughing. Can't tell you though, it would spoil it. We didn't bother with the Lincoln vampire thing though. Never saw it and had no desire. Wonder if there will be a sequel with all those dead civil war soldiers coming back as zombies and the (now) president Lincoln having to fight them off? Why not, everybody else has went zombie crazy? I did notice that the line for the new Twilight movie was out the door and had at least an hour wait to be seated after tickets were bought. I walked right by it and was seated immediately, thinking the whole time I got the better deal on a movie. Quote
