Im looking to get a few new rods and the St Croix rage rods have caught my eye. Ive been thinking of getting one for a crankbait rod and the St Croix avid series for plastics and other techniques as the rest. if anyone could give me a review on the rod i would greatly appreciate it.

From what I have heard the St. Croix rage is awesome. I'd go with the deal Diggy mentioned that's a hard deal to pass up, unless you don't have the money.

Definitely can't speak from experience, but I posted a thread a little while ago about the Rage rod and got mixed reviews with most being negative. I passed and got the Dobyn's Champion that was on sale at Cabela's instead.

I love my St.Croix rods, but they're going to have to do some serious revamping and quality control before I'd consider trying another Rage rod.

I love mine. My only negative is I got a medium action and it feels like an UL. I wish id of went with the MH, but thats my own fault. I still throw 4 inch paddle tail swimbaits with it no problem and have swung 4 lbers into the boat and it hasnt failed.
