Hello all from NE Florida, been reading for a while but joined recently. Fished a lot in my youth, kinda tapered off as college and job and family took over, but now in late 40's and getting back into it. :). Fixing up an older Ranger hope to have it on the water early 2013.

Welcome aboard. You got any good fishing up north?

It can be good at times, mostly have to travel south a bit, get down to Mid St. Johns river, around Glen Cove/Palatka and the surrounding lakes, and of course Rodman, Crescent area. Other than that it's pretty good drive to get down to central lakes. The curse of a seaside town, Salt rules. trout, redfish, flounder, etc are the big deals around here, and thus all the local shops, tackle, etc geared towards them. What's a bass fisherman to do lol.

Hi 78. I too fish the area you've discribed and find it very relaxing and fun. There are several areas in our part of Florida that I really like. I've been fishing in and around Trout Creek and Black Creek for some time now and have had a pretty good time.

Hope you enjoy your stay here. I don't post too often but I do like to read and see what my fellow fishermen are doing.

What do you fish out of? I have an '04 V18 Tournament Bass Tracker w/ a 90 4-stroke Mercury and it's everything I need to fish the way I like. Gets me to and from real nice.

Glad to see someone else join that's from around here. Look forward to your posts. Tom
