Best Trophy Brown Trout Fishing

Can anyone give me a definitive place or suggestion for TROPHY brown trout fishing. I want a 10+lb brown. Thinking this is next on my bucket list!

Dang i need to drive up north.....any of those browns available either via kayak or wading? I am assuming they can be caught on the fly as well without chucking some sinking line all day as that can get pretty boring and tiring....

The first one was caught wading a small trib. I used an egg pattern fly, under a float rig with a centrepin, but a traditional floating line with a fluoro tippet would work too. The second is from close in shore, in 4-8' of water, and is easily accessible from a kayak. In fact.....

The browns and steelies up on Ontario get nice and chunky, if they are biting then a 10 pounder isn't uncommon. My technique includes a spinning combo with braid and a 3/4 oz spoon, chucked as far as possible and reeled in as fast as i possibly can. Give it a pause every once in a while and hold on!!

Out in the lake, any bass gear will do. In the creeks, there are special tributary rules, but a spinning outfit will work.

From a boat, or kayak in the lake, September - November. Wading creeks, November - April.

for the lake, Sept- nov as Jfranco said, but my best time is usually mid october.

As for the spring, you can catch them from shore close to creek mouths

Yep, but it's a short window as the lake warms quickly. Love hitting the piers in April. That's actually how I caught my PB brown. I haven't been doing it as much, found some shallow lakes where green fish wake up early.

I haven't ever been to the Great Lakes but after watching Ike and Zona both do shows catching some pigs fishing in harbors on jigs and jerkbaits I'd say that looked to be about as close to a sure thing as you could get with a fish like that if you are there at the right time and with someone who knows what they're doing.

The tribs are great as also mentioned. The two I have listed under my name are great I seen some where the oak was rated like 4th best trout destination in north America. In the fall and spring it's not uncommon to see 100 plus vehicals parked to fish the dam of oak orchard I think the farthest Iv met some one from there was a group of guys from Arizona made the trip. Johnsons is just as good but over shadowed by the oak but there less then 4 miles apart in many spots.
