Yesterday morning i went to a spot of mine in Davie with hopes of some bass and or peacocks. I worked my way to a corner of the lake and noticed something strange. I saw a bass bed with close to a 2lber sitting right on it. And about 10 yards farther down the bank, another one with another fish sittin on it. Now obviously i know this isnt strange, what i thought was strange is the timing. I expect this to happen mid to late january, not in mid-november. I may be wrong in assuming the january time frame, i'm certainly no expert to bass fishing. I just thought it was strange. And these fish were definatly in bed mode. They wouldnt touch anything thrown their way unless it was dragged through the bed. Can someone enlighten me on this? Is this just a fluke(pun intented)? Or is this normal? THank you in advance

Bass in S. Florida tend to be in full spawn mode from Jan-March. They sometimes run through April and start in Nov, Dec. Some bass will spawn during the summer too.
