Megabass Anthrax

I've been looking at these on different sites and YouTube and they look pretty cool but I'm a little hesitant because of the price. Has anyone used one and what are you opinions? Also is there a similar lure made by a different manufacturer at a lower price point. Thanks for the help and advice.

Never seen a bad product from Megabass. Love the jerkbaits, but I can fish with and lose 2 pointers for every one of those, had a buddy lose 4 megabass to stripers in the same day last year. That anthrax is a wicked looking bait though, never seen anything else that looks like that.

I bought one on ebay a couple of years ago sure that it would give me an edge... That was two years ago, never got that edge... Haven't caught anything on it. It looks like a work of art, but it's nothing spectacular on the water. I had one blowup on it this summer, but didn't land the fish. By comparison my black back/white belly Rapala floater caught two or three dozen fish. Buy a rapala or a bagley bang-o lure and save yourself about 10 or 15 bucks.

I have one and haven't really fished it enough to have an opinion on its effectiveness.It is a well made bait though as are all Megabass products.I will try it out again after seeing your post and if I do any good,will let you know.
