rowyourboat Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 with water temps in upper 40's and clear. would throwing a shakey head be worth a try? Quote
BassLaw13 Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 I would throw it without hesitation--and I will be throwing it in similar conditions in a couple of weeks. Quote
powerman970 Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Absolutely!!! I was on the Warrior River the weekend of the Classic and we were catching fish on a shakey head off of secondary grass lines in 10-12' of water that was 45-46 degrees. Quote
tnhiker44 Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 In reflection, the shaky head was my best producing bait last year. It almost pains me to say that... as I always considered myself more of a power fisherman. But because of last year I will no doubt have one tied on at all times this year. Quote
D4u2s0t Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 anything is always worth a try. The only time something in fishing is guaranteed not to work, is when you don't try it. Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted March 4, 2010 Super User Posted March 4, 2010 Yes - Shakey heads will work. If that isn't finesse enough for you, spool on some 6 lb test and tie on a Charlie Brewer slider head with a 4" slider worm. Then "polish the rocks." You will get bit. Quote
Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted March 4, 2010 Super User Posted March 4, 2010 All year round, unless of course theres ice on the water. Quote
