Super User roadwarrior Posted November 11, 2012 Super User Posted November 11, 2012 No way! Maybe the BIGGEST GAME in SEC history! BTW, Mizzouri beat Tennessee. Quote
Pete-K Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 That made my day to see Al go down and at home. Priceless. Even though Tn could not pull there win out. That is ok Al lost Purdue Won and Tn well what can I say, The coach blew the game by not taking that field goal. Pete Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted November 11, 2012 Super User Posted November 11, 2012 You have no idea how thrilled I am with Bama's loss. They will probably drop to No. 3 in the BCS rankings. Now, if LSU can beat Mississippi State tonight (and they should,) then they will move up a few spots. This will make for some interesting Bowl match-ups. Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted November 11, 2012 Super User Posted November 11, 2012 That was awesome! They move down the line to #4 and, assuming no major surprised by K-State, Notre Dame, and Oregon, the SEC finally will not have a national champion. Where's all the national "experts" that said A&M had no business being in the SEC since they could never even win in the Big 12 and that Bama was better than some NFL teams? Absolutely made my day. 1 Quote
bkohlman Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Now if the Jayhawks could just win a Big 12 game.......... Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 11, 2012 Global Moderator Posted November 11, 2012 Even if my wildcats win out the rest of the year I'm confident in the BCS screwing them out of the title game because they aren't SEC and aren't one of the flashier teams out there. A&M looked amazing tonight though, they looked almost unstoppable on offense and I thank them for their hard work Quote
Super User Sam Posted November 11, 2012 Super User Posted November 11, 2012 Good News - Bad News. Good News - Bamasux lost and I think it was with the help of LSU last week. Bad News - The SEC's dominance of the BCS may have ended. If Notre Dame, K-State or Oregon lose a game then maybe Bamasux sneaks into the National Championship game. Otherwise, probably will be the Fighting Irish and the Wildcats. LSU is poised to go to the Sugar Bowl if they finish in the top eight BCS positions but right now it looks like Bamasux will go to the Sugar Bowl if they beat Georgia in Atlanta. Of course, if Georgia wins then the Dawgs will go to the Sugar Bowl. Maybe play LSU but the Sugar Bowl has a history of inviting "interesting teams" such as Wyoming, Utah, Cincinnati and Hawaii. With Louisville going down in flames and Rutgers too low in the standings maybe the Sugar Bowl will have a good matchup this year. The Sugar Bowl needs to fill that big bowl so having LSU will guarantee a sell out no matter the other team. Bamasux and Georgia travel well so they will be considered, too. My son is a big Bamasux fan and he is mad. He accused me of calling him this morning only because Bamasux lost. I haven't called him all season to discuss football but I did this morning. He may be right for once. Ha ha. Don't you just love it when those aggragant Bamasux fans beloved team loses. They had the BCS Championship already in their trophy case before the first kickoff thisSeptember. And on Finebaum this past Friday Finebaum was asking what schools have the best traditions and his callers were making fun of other schools' nicknames and their traditions. And just what is a Crimson Tide? Isn't it a place in the ocean that nothing can live? Isn't it full of bacteria, fungus and mold? Just wondering. (Don't you just love football smack???? Bring it on, guys.) Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted November 11, 2012 Super User Posted November 11, 2012 Good News - Bad News. Good News - Bamasux lost and I think it was with the help of LSU last week.  :dazed-7: Quote
Super User retiredbosn Posted November 11, 2012 Super User Posted November 11, 2012 Now if the Jayhawks could just win a Big 12 game.......... They're playing WVU soon, they'll win at least one Big 12 game. My Mountaineers have completely fallen apart offensively, never did have a defense Quote
Ima Bass Ninja Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Good News - Bad News. Good News - Bamasux lost and I think it was with the help of LSU last week. Keep dreaming. Its sucks they lost but They lost cause they took a good team lightly and underestimated a highly talented QB.. Bad News - The SEC's dominance of the BCS may have ended. That's sounds like more good news to me.. :-) LSU is poised to go to the Sugar Bowl if they finish in the top eight BCS positions but right now it looks like Bamasux will go to the Sugar Bowl if they beat Georgia in Atlanta. Of course, if Georgia wins then the Dawgs will go to the Sugar Bowl. Maybe play LSU Let's hope not. They have all season to prove who's better by playing the same teams if not each other, the last thing we need is another bcs bowl game taken up by an sec peein contest. Quote
Super User rockchalk06 Posted November 17, 2012 Super User Posted November 17, 2012 Now if the Jayhawks could just win a Big 12 game.......... Amen to that. Where is Mark when you need him. O wait, we fired him cause he was mean and some of the guys were panzies! Quote
Super User rockchalk06 Posted November 17, 2012 Super User Posted November 17, 2012 Even if my wildcats win out the rest of the year I'm confident in the BCS screwing them out of the title game because they aren't SEC and aren't one of the flashier teams out there. A&M looked amazing tonight though, they looked almost unstoppable on offense and I thank them for their hard work I don't think so. With Klein a front runner for the Heisman they may have a good shot. Quote
Super User Sam Posted November 17, 2012 Super User Posted November 17, 2012 Right now it looks like this. But things could change this weekend, November 17: BCS - Oregon and K-State Sugar Bowl - Alabama vs Clepson Fiesta Bowl - Texas A&M or LSU vs Oklahoma Cotton Bowl - Texas A&M or LSU vs Texas Orange Bowl - Florida State vs Louisville Rose Bowl - Nebraska vs Notre Dame Jerry Jones needs to fill up the Cotton Bowl as do the Miami people for the Orange Bowl. The Orange Bowl scuttled the Big Least and is now going to the ACC, SEC and Big 10 for its teams. Attendance has been dismal in Miami for the ACC-Big Least matchups and the Orange Bowl needs some marquee teams with strong fan support. With either LSU or A&M playnig Texass there will be a sellout in Dallas. The Fiesta Bowl also had a dismal attendance last year and they know that both A&M and LSU fans will travel to support their teams. Things will change and it will be fun to see who survives undefeated this year. Quote
Super User Sam Posted November 18, 2012 Super User Posted November 18, 2012 Oregn and K-State went down. If Awbunn can beat Bamasux then LSU will go to the big ATL and defeat Ja-Jaw and head to Miami and a show down with the Fighting Irish. Of course, if frogs could fly they would not bump their fannies everytime they jumped.. Crazier things have happened before in college football. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 18, 2012 Author Super User Posted November 18, 2012 Man, it's wide open now. College football rocks! I'm not sure anyone knows how the mystical BCS programming works, but The Crimson Tide just might leap frog back to #1. Quote
Quillback Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 I predict Notre Dame vs Alabama for the BCS (unless either team loses any more games). Quote

scrutch Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Am I dreaming? We're number one? Shhhh please just let me sleep for more than a week! I hope we annihilate USC! I hope we beat them so bad that Pat Hayden has no choice but to fire Lane Kiffin! I hope we don't fall victim to the "#1 curse". ND vs. Alabama or Georgia (or possibly even Florida). Now that TV contract doesn't look so bad after all does it NBC? Amazing what a few wins will do! Sorry guys, I don't mean to gloat, but I've been waiting for this for 24 years! Now, about that Brian Kelly statue... Quote
