JCMAN Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Experiences on light tackle? when do you guys switch to it ? i became curious after reading a few articles on here and i bought a bunch of little grubs and little crankbaits to try out on smaller poles and smaller line ? let me know what u guys think? any suggestions on lures? thanks Quote
Blue Streak Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Bomber makes a real nice small bait can't remember the name, and I also do well on the smallest Big O, I guess by Cordell. I use 4 pound Yo Zuri line. Quote
tnbassfisher Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 I go to it when I'm not catching anything on larger stuff. I also fish and wade a lot of creeks and small rivers. I almost always use and UL setup doing this. Quote
B A S S E R Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 I used to only use UL/L tackle around here because I fish 98% weightless worms from shore in hard to cast spots. I can cast a weightless worm a mile even when I'm in cover. Quote
Super User Raul Posted March 3, 2010 Super User Posted March 3, 2010 Some of the tiny stuff I use when they get picky: 3" Senkos or Dingers C 'ultiva Bug Eye Bait Rapala Shad Rap sieze 5 Rapala Original Floating Minnow size 5 Blue Fox Vibrax #0, 1 & 2 Bass Assassin Baby Assassin ( 3" ) Zoom Baby Brush Hog Megabass Griffon Megabass Live X Margay Rebel Tiny Wee Frog Quote
LHC - Bank Robber Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 I go to ul when fishing in slow, mostly outa boredom, my favorite bait is a charle brewer crappie slider grub, but tiny pop-r is a close second Quote
smmouthluvr Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 man u have 2 try u/l tackle w/rebel teeny wee r crawdads whenever i go wading streams i always have something new 2 try but always go back 2 these great little lures Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted March 4, 2010 Super User Posted March 4, 2010 I have no problem throwing smaller and lighter cranks on six pound test. I am never afraid to use finesse. Sometimes it's the only way to get bit. Quote
