Super User Long Mike Posted November 10, 2012 Super User Posted November 10, 2012 For those of you who have been concerned about Alpster and family, I just received a text from him saying he was OK, but still without power. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted November 10, 2012 Super User Posted November 10, 2012 Good to know! Hopefully he will be back fully operational soon! Jeff Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted November 10, 2012 Super User Posted November 10, 2012 Thanks for the update. When I first saw this thread it gave me pause. While it's tough to be without electricity, it was a relief to see that was his problem rather than a health issue. Quote
nick76 Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Are they getting what they need other than power or are they in need of items that maybe we could get to them in some forms or fashion? I just donated a ton to a group called New World Flood who has sent a trailer out east from Michigan, and they are sending another this week I gather. Yet if they need something I am sure the wife wouldn't mind me helping out. Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted November 10, 2012 Author Super User Posted November 10, 2012 Just talked to Ronnie. He has everything he needs under the circumstances. No damage to his home. He has a generator, so is able to keep warm. He lost a few trees, so if anyone has a chain saw and wants to go to New Jersey .... Quote
nick76 Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Well I am glad that they have what they need with minimal damage. Trees are the last thing I am sure they are worrying about other than removing them to get the power on. Quote
Super User Alpster Posted November 11, 2012 Super User Posted November 11, 2012 All is well at my place. Power came back on at about 9 last night after 13 days. We were just inconvienienced by the storms & power outage, but very near us, on the shore, THEY WERE DEVISTATED!!! A team from Southern Baptist Disaster relief is coming to my church to train us to help with the clean up. Pray for those who lost their homes and all their stuff. Ronnie Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 11, 2012 Super User Posted November 11, 2012 Great to hear from you my friend! -Kent Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted November 11, 2012 BassResource.com Administrator Posted November 11, 2012 Wow Ronnie...13 days without power really sucks, but in the grand scheme of things, that's a minor inconvenience. I'm glad you came away relatively unscathed. Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted November 11, 2012 Super User Posted November 11, 2012 Glad all is well with you Ronnie. Will keep you all in my prayers. Kirby Quote
nick76 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Glad to hear you are getting back to normal. Thoughts and prayers for those who were not as fortunate. Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted November 12, 2012 Super User Posted November 12, 2012 Ronnie you have always been one of the most resourceful people I know. I pictured you dusting yourself off and opening the bass bus up to your neighbors, then heading down the road to find people to help. I'm glad all is well with ya. Quote
