Does anyone have any current info on the bass fishing at Kerr? I'm thinking of a 3-5 day trip down that way. I could also use any info on decent places to stay. Thanks , in advance.

As far as current info no, it's been a little over a year since my last trip there, but I did fish the bridges there that cross the lake, Rt15, I fished around the Occoneechee State park area and North of that area, I am unfamilure with the waterways name, but if you travel North of the bridge, it's the first arm on the right, I fished under the smaller Rt 15 bridge and in that area as you travel inward to the Rt. 49 bridge.

Lots of really good fishing, the smaller bridge in the Occoneechee area you will have to be careful for, at full pool the bridge can be hard to pass under, depending on your boat size.

Make sure you brush up on your bouy markers.

Just about anything worked when I was there, top water baits performed the best for me and jigs were working very well.

We took our camper down with us so I have no suggestions on places to stay, sorry about that, I will say that this place is fun to fish and a really good choice for a place to visit.

Good luck and be safe !!!

The creek West of the Clarksville bridges is Bluestone Creek. There is a ramp beside that Rt. 15 bridge.

Bluestone is also a productive area. It was loaded with shad schools a couple of weeks ago.

When I was there the water level was about 8' lower than the digital map contours and some ramps were not usable.

Occoneechee ramp and the Bluestone ramps are usable. Also the one beside Rt. 15 in Grassy Creek (South of Clarksville).
