Today I went fishing in the MIDDLE of some of the best looking brush piles I have ever seen. Didn't catch anything, but I sure gave it my best effort. What do you think?

Didn't get out on the water but spent the day making my next "on the water" experience that much better, hopefully!

I like'em. Please elaborate on how you made them and how long do you think it will take for bass to stage on'em.

Bassn- They are fairly easy to make. Just time consuming.

1. Take a standard cider block and liquid nail it to a cap block.

2. Cut a section of 4'' pvc pipe the height you want it, and drill 5/8'; holes at the desired distance. these were 8'' same spot on opposite sides. And offset per 180

3. Cut lengths of 1/2'' Blank tubing (500' roll) into desired lengths. These were about 4' give or take.

4. Run the tubing through the holes. Set a screw near the 4'' pipe to keep them from pulling through or rotating.

5. Set the 4'' tubes in quickcrete.

I call these "forever trees"

@Scale- they will be at my private club. Same place I put these in February!

Great looking set up Jeff! I may need to follow your lead on those in a few choice spots ;)

Nice work Jeff ~

That's what I call Dedication - or is it Obsession ?

I always get those two confused.

Those will be some way points that I'd imagine you'll visit routinely (or every trip).

In an effort to avoid detection, do you plan on sinking them under the cover of darkness ?

A-jay....My club is a small ~100 acre oxbow. There are only 8 fishing members. So there will never be enough pressure to hurt my opportunities. And only 3 of us even bass fish. Everyone else is crappie fishermen. Last ones I put out in high water, and they didn't sit level on the slope and fell over. These I will put out and dig them into ground while water is low, and then let it fill up around them! Put out in the next couple of weeks, and then snow fill the Mississippi River and flood us in.

I will send everyone the GPS- but good luck getting to em!

As you can see the water is WAYYYYYY down. We are gonna wait for the snow to melt and fill us back up!

On a side note, if you look closely in the last picture, off the point at about the 10 o'clock position, you can see another one of my attractors I had put out last time. I caught this guy off it using one of my swim jigs while we were there...

Camera phone pics suck....

And then not to much longer on my same swim jig I got this one...

Both fish kind of skinny for this time of year. Guess we need the river flooding us and restocking the lake more than I thought.

Nice work Jeff.

Your hand placed "Structure" looks like it's desperately needed on that fairly feature-less area of the lake.
