KYbass1276 Posted March 2, 2010 Author Posted March 2, 2010 the people who have mentioned top water as baits they hate to use shouldnt be bass fishing. i dont think there is a more exciting way to catch bass. i hate chatterbaits Again one persons trash is gold to the other. The same could be said about me. I can't use a spinner bait and catch fish others here probally could throw just the wire and the hook and forget the blades and skirt and still can catch fish. But seeing how I can't seem to connect when fishing them wouldn't mean I shouldn't be fishing. You know I would love to hear what baits some of the pros can't stand to fish. I think that would be interesting to hear. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted March 2, 2010 Super User Posted March 2, 2010 I would say any bait that's heavy and wears you out, like deep diving cranks or big spinnerbaits. Using casting tackle with somewhat heavier line helps with that though, and those lures catch bass for me. Jerkbaits, both hard and soft, leave my wrists sore at the end of the day but I catch so many fish on them I am usually always using them for part of the day. Quote
bigfruits Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 dont like using: senko - boring cranks - too many hooks my low confidence bait: buzzbait Quote
NiNeR Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Mine is a buzzbait. Not b/c i can't catch anything its just when me and the old man get to fish together we have a freindly wager about most fish caught. He uses two lures buzzbait and a t-rigged 8" paddle tail. He beats me when he uses that stupid buzzbait everytime. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted March 3, 2010 Super User Posted March 3, 2010 Cranks from the bank. Quote
Shadcranker Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 I have 2- spinnerbait and drop shot. If the water is right, i'll throw a blade, but I don't have much confidence. On the drop shot, I just don't like ultra finesse fishing. Quote
BenoBreath Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Topwater hollow frogs, can't seem to get a decent hook set to save my life! Quote
