Super User retiredbosn Posted November 3, 2012 Super User Posted November 3, 2012 So I've a privacy fence around my yard, it borders neighbors on two sides. For the last two years I've been throwing tree limbs, leaves etc over the third side. Out the other day with son shooting his air rifle when I discover the third side doesn't join a common wooded area but my neighbor's yard! What an idiot! Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted November 3, 2012 BassResource.com Administrator Posted November 3, 2012 Oh snap! Might be a good idea to go over to your neighbor and apologize. Quote
preach4bass Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Oh snap! Might be a good idea to go over to your neighbor and apologize. ^ What he said. ^ But on a side note: That's funny! (If I was your neighbor I would get a kick out of it.) Quote

Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted November 3, 2012 Super User Posted November 3, 2012 Least yall all get along. My neighbors with the exception of a few feel about me pretty much the same way as I do about them. Most of them are older than me and value structure and conformity. I really have no use for either. Plus I see no problem with keeping my two 55 gallon (empty) hydraulic drums on my back patio. They will be turned into smokers by the end of the month. Or with my Raiders and Chelsea FC flags and banners that get displayed in front of my townhouse. On the last two Im starting to think I live around a bunch of Denver and Man U fans. Quote
DavePNW Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 I've lived in the same house for going on 7 years. The houses over here are probably 10 feet apart. Literally, I have never spoken to any of my neighbors. I've tried saying hi but people around here like to keep to themselves I guess Quote
Super User retiredbosn Posted November 3, 2012 Author Super User Posted November 3, 2012 They were not upset as it was all leaf litter and it landed in a tree line, in fact they never knew. It was funny but I had to clean it up. Just didn't feel right not, well my kids did the cleaning Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted November 3, 2012 Super User Posted November 3, 2012 I hate neighbors eve if they were nice or what ever I just don't like living in close proximity of others. Idk how u do it dave 10ft apart id go nuts I grew up in the sticks closest neighbor was a mile down the road in either direction. I have an apartment now well did.....yeah but anyways even that I hate its same thing just a apt building in the middle of no where but I cant stand the other tenants other then 1 and that's cuz I knew him since I was in diapers his parents owned the house next my moms house the one a mile down the road lol and now his parents own the apt we are in well I was... Super User NorcalBassin Posted November 3, 2012 Super User Posted November 3, 2012 That's a great little story. I live in the sticks and have awesome neighbors that live just far enough away that everyone knows each other and get along really well. Sounds like I may be lucky in that aspect. Quote
tipptruck1 Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 If that makes you a bad Neighbor. Then I must be a a hole. That is ok with me. I would rather not deal with them. I grew up in the sticks. But the poeple that moved in to the house across the road. Have two little dogs. I have seen them both blocks away from here. They poop on my yard. I almost hit one twice in less then a hour. Last week was the final straw. It ran out right out in front of my car at night. I came within inches of hitting that thing. I get out of my car in the middle of the street. And yell that them to keep there blanking dogs in there own blanking yard. I haven't seen there dogs since. Quote
Super User retiredbosn Posted November 3, 2012 Author Super User Posted November 3, 2012 It was meant more for the humor, no I'm not a bad neighbor. Still can't believe I didn't notice it was their yard! Quote
Super User Tuckahoe Joe Posted November 4, 2012 Super User Posted November 4, 2012 Thats a funny story. I try to be a good neighbor. Id rather keep to myself but Ill make small talk if Im outside the same time one of my neighbors is and I try to keep my yard and house in good repair so it doens't make the neighborhood look trashy. Ive definitly had some bad ones though. When I still lived with my parents, the people next door let their kids do whatever they wanted with no disiplinary actions. We ened up with our cars keyed, chocolate cake thrown in our swimming pool, and Papa Johns stopped deliverying to us because they kept ordering pizzas to our house. The place I lived before I moved where I am now was a basement apartment under a 2 story townhome. The people that lived above us basically ran/stomped around their house constantly. Sounded like a herd of elephants running down their steps at 3 in the morning. Glad im out of there. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted November 4, 2012 Super User Posted November 4, 2012 Excellent story, I LMAO!. How can you go two years without looking over your back fence to see what's on the other side though, LOL. Here's a tip for anyone applying for a federal job in law enforcement. Know your neighbor's first and last names. That question might come up in your interview Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted November 4, 2012 Super User Posted November 4, 2012 Good fences make for good neighbors, or so the saying goes. Unless you toss your debris over them onto your neighbor's property. Funny story. Quote
