The Rooster Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 On Nov. 6 when we're at the polls voting for the next prez, people from KY will also see this question. It basically protects KY residents' rights to hunt and fish forever, as it makes it so that it cannot be outlawed without a vote from the people. I wasn't aware of this until now and wondered how many of you here from KY aren't either. I'm making sure to vote yes to this. Here's how it will read: Are you in favor of amending the Kentucky Constitution to state that the citizens of Kentucky have the personal right to hunt, fish, and harvest wildlife, subject to laws and regulations that promote conservation and preserve the future of hunting and fishing, and to state that public hunting and fishing shall be a preferred means of managing and controlling wildife?

IMHO, I like this, WOW
Super User SirSnookalot Posted October 30, 2012 Super User Posted October 30, 2012 Before voting on any amendment I read the synopsis and what a yes or no vote really means, usually posted in your local newspaper, wording sometimes can be misleading. Not saying that this is the case with your amendment, but I would read up on it first anyway. We had 9 or 10 amendments on the ballot in Florida, and the wording on some were a bit confusing. I voted 2 weeks ago absentee, 100's of people in line everywhere I drove by for early voting, nice to see a big turn out.
Sfritr Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 And don't forget Kentuckians, you cannot purchase alcohol until the polls close. So, stock up on Monday One of the dumbest laws out there. Its not 1860 and we are not slicking the hands of voters with moonshine. We have bettered ourselves since those days. Now we slick the hands with special interest groups and drug money....
