Braid, Fluoro, Etc. For Jigs

Lots of time users that have explained this particular question in detail(or any other subject)numerous times won't post a detailed answer since they have time and time again. Making a decision is more (personally) based on "why" than "what"

Using the search function will help any user find these making it more valuable than just one topic.

If we all used the search, we wouldnt have anymore topics. Who cares if its been asked, thats whats fun about forums. I say ask away, keeps us occupied.

You are right, I've started topics that pertained to information somewhat already covered. Sometimes you want to get a general concensus for yourself where you can put your own information into the question for your own type of lakes and cover jig sizes etc that you are fishing.

I just seen iabass's point as being, there are many very informed people who spent a great deal of time replying and giving their informed advice on other threads like these. I would assume some of those people will not respond to this because it has been covered before. He did not tell the OP that he should not have made the thread. He was just saying searching would give him good results as well. I think iabass's comments came across as he should not have made the thread which would be a rude comment. I don't think that is what he was saying. Also, he gave his input on what line he uses so he contributed to the OP's question. I dont know why it was a problem he had valid point which I eluded to with a few links I found in minimal time that are all at least 2 pages in depth.

As a side note: People do change their lines. Someone might have used braid a few months ago and decided to go to yo-zuri. So results and concensus can change as well. So new topics are important and keeps discussions alive.

OP are you at all concerned with the different brands of these lines that we are using? I just mentioned the pound test in mine.

If so, I use 12# Seaguar Tatsu and 12# Shooter both coated with KVD Line and Lure.

If I had a cheaper rod I would probably using braid to fish these techniques and would use Daiwa Samurai with any fluoro leader in equal diameter test. Samurai is good stuff.

There is a sale for buy one get one free Sunline FC Sniper and if you are considering fluorocarbon jump on it. The line is very nice for the price and is the middle ground between manageability and sensitivity.

I have 12lb seguar red label and 12 bps fluro...I wasnt a fan due to breaking but I'm willing to try something else in a heavier test. Not sure if a full spool or just leader material.

I have #12lb yo zuri spooled that I can use for finesse jigs, some of my other reels have 50-65lb braid so I'm covered there

I'm not the best jig fisherman but I'm going to try to make myself a much improved jig user.

50lbs power pro and a heavy action ugly stick, works like a charm on any bass, heck I catch my bull redfish and blacktip sharks on that rig too.

40 to 50 pound ultra cast spiderwire braid tied to a 15 or 17 pound trilene fluro leader.
