basspro215 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 what do you guys think about the YUM Baby dancing Eel,i seen Bill Dance use one the other day so i picked one up,now just wondering if it was worth it Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted March 1, 2010 Super User Posted March 1, 2010 You know Bill would sell his mama if there is profit to make. Quote
Super User Raul Posted March 1, 2010 Super User Posted March 1, 2010 now just wondering if it was worth it No. I got a couple of very old ones and I can remember barely catching a fish or two on them, now I keep them as a reminder of the "good ole days" when I was younger, a lot less experienced and dumb tackle purchaser. If the regular version sucked I suppose a smaller version will be as bad .... in a smaller scale. Quote
thrawn67 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 got a few to try out only action all summer was one pickerel showing a little interest. Never hooked a fish or any bites, could just be me tho... Quote
Dave D Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I hear they work great on private lakes that are full of monster bass! Quote

bass or bass ? Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 i think this thread and the "lures you hate to use" thread goes together Or the worst lure you ever bought thread. Quote
basspro215 Posted March 2, 2010 Author Posted March 2, 2010 well it was on sale so it was only a wast of 3$, so no big deal wont hurt to try ill let you know how it gos Quote
Boogey Man Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Like ol' Bill himself says, any given lure on any given day under the right conditions if presented properly will catch fish at one point or another ;D Seriously though, give it a try and see. I've bought my fair share of lures that I've never caught a fish on. Good luck! Quote
RichF Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 I hear they work great on private lakes that are full of monster bass! I second that! Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted March 2, 2010 Super User Posted March 2, 2010 Waste of money they suck. Quote
flippin and pitchin Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 There you guys go again. Always looking at the negative. Don't give the guy a complex. You didn't waste your three bucks at all. Here's what you do.... get some sharp nippers and carefully remove the stock hook. Got that ? Now tie the eel to 50 pound braid with a Palomar knot. Use it as a cat toy. Drives mine crazy !! Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted March 2, 2010 Super User Posted March 2, 2010 I'm a bit disappointed in these attitudes from you guys. Anything you throw in the water can and will catch bass as you all know full well. Proof is looking at the size of your own tackle boxes! Have any of you tried these dancing eels? I have not, myself, but I'd be the last one to say they are no go. I'll bet they work just fine - if you use them. Like any other lure you have, if it's sitting in your tackle box, it won't catch a darn thing. Quote
