Kititas Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Which is a better deep cranking rod the 7'11" cumara reaction mh f or BPS 7'10" cranking stick for deep cranking dt 16 and dd22 ect. Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted October 28, 2012 Super User Posted October 28, 2012 For the price the bps rods are highly thought of. Many will say at the price point they can't be touched. However from a few guys I know that use the cummara cranking rods they are very good. If you find one on special or if you do alot of deep cranks the cummara would be worth the additional $. If this is something you do sparingly or seasonally I would get the bps cranking rod and not shell out the extra money. Quote
bassandcats Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 i have a 6'6" ml for small cranks and squarebills and absolutely love it! cant beat the price, theyve got a great feel and look in my opinion Quote
via Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 i say get the cumara because *** have it on sell for 130. its a pretty good price on a rod that is suppose to be 220 Quote
Arv Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 I have no experience with either rod but for the sheer fact that you can get the cumara at that sale price I would get that rod if you've read enough good reviews on it. USUALLY, the more you pay the better quality product you're getting. If you're getting quality on sale, even better. Still, do adequate research though. Last thing you want to do is go dump a chunk of change on something that isn't worth it. Quote
shootermcbob Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 I have not fished that particular cumara, nor have I fished the current edition of the BPS crankin stick. I do have some of the cumara rods and have owned and fished the previous version of the crankin stick. I would absolutely spend the 130.00 on the cumara vs spending 105.37 for the crankin stick (which is cost of the rod plus tax plus shipping to my house). When you view it in those terms...at least to me...the decision would be to purchase the cumara and never look back. Quote
The Next KVD Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Cumara on sale no matter what! However if for the fact that the Cumara was not on sale and you do not do alot of deep cranking than the BPS would be the way to go. Quote
