Went prefishing for a college tournament that I have on the Wofl River in New London, Wisconsin. My partner and I hammered SMB all morning long on black and blue buzzbaits! Water temp was between 38-40.

Really that cold already?? We still have water temps around 60 in the KC area, even mid 60's at the lake I was at last Wednesday that's about 2 hours south. I guess there has been some of that 4 letter word up there already this fall :skiing-086:

Super! Now you have some information that others in the tournament don't have.

Good luck and I hope you win the event.

Ive caught bass in the late fall while it was snowing with buzzbaits. That same water temp in the spring wont get bit. Go figure.

Im guessing the water temp here is still in the 50s and dropping quick.Havent been in three weeks now, the temps were in the 60s. Might have to toss a Lunker Lure , if I get a chance to fish again this season.

Crazy! i caught a largemouth on a frog 2 weeks ago in open water about 20 feet off the bank. Didnt know the water temp, but the air temp was about 35 and it was raining, that was awesome

Went fishing monday in north Missouri. Water temp was 55 to 58. Bass in the creeks feeding heavily, in about five foot of water. The back of the creeks were fishless. Fishing was easy and the seagulls would tell you where the bait was.
