Booyah, Z Man, Or Sk Pure Poison?

What's the consensus choice for good bladed swim jig? I've been using Z Man with no issues, but not super impressed with the hooks. The Booyahs look good, but SK makes some nice ones too. Thoughts and opinions are appreciated. Thanks.

z man all the way i use 3/8 oz white/chartruse , blue/black.. and the white with sparkles and red eyes on it.. the hook imo are awesome never had a problems them and i never really set the hook that hard its always mix between reel seting with a little normally lift to about 2 oclock rod tip postions.. i would go with z man

Been very happy with the Z man's. Grizzin...see your are upstate NY. I started fishing as a kid in Sullivan County may moons ago (Fallsburg area). Now living in Florida

Don't know about the other two. But the booyah has a springy/flexible hook. I have heard good and bad about it. Most complaints are about the hookset, while the likes are the action and chatter of the blade. They had them on sale at Academy for 3 bucks and looking at them and playing with that hook I took a pass.

Many years go I used z-man, but I too

was unhappy with the hook. Never used the SK Pure Poision. I ended up with the BOOYAH Boogee in the white color. Never had a problem with the BOOYAH and if I start throwing these alot again I'll be going back to them.

Buy one of each in the same color and fish them see which one works better.

The early SK Pure Poisons had a regluar snap clip like most chatterbaits do and they were very poor. I broke and mangled a number of them so I stopped buying them. The last time I did get a few, they switched to an oval split ring and that worked out really well. I haven't bought one in 2+ years so I can't tell you how they are now. The SK skirts rotted quickly too. Probably my least favorite SK brand lure.

Zmans are good too. I have no experience with BooYah brand, only their spinner baits.

I bought several pure poison luresfrom Wal of the mart on discount for a buck each a couple summers ago. I still have them all and of the 3-4 I fish, I have had no problems at all. These do have the oval split ring as mentioned above.

nice man im glad theres people on here that fell my pain living up here.. but sometimes its amazing like this year caught about 20 bass in the range from 6-9 pounds many many 7 and 8s in there soo i guess its getting better or im just fishing alittle better haha.. but i know your area ive been fishing at the roundout resivor a few times with my unlce.. hes from the new paltz area and i live upsate alittle more in the castkills

Those are some nice bass you caught there....I never had that kind of luck. Ive fished the Roundout and cause alot of small mouths and really big trout. I remember years ago they listed land locked salmon as being in there...not sure if that is still the case. Very nice area. As for the catskills, my cousin and I would fish a nice little watershed off of 19, close enough to hear the westpoint shooting in the am, called Quuensboro. And this other lake called Turkey Hill. Ok now im rambling...miss upstate NY

My vote is for none of them. I couldn't find a bladed jig that didn't have something about it that I didn't like so I started making my own . Now I have the action, colors, and hooks that I wanted. The original chatterbaits got a lot of hits for me but the hooks sucked. Never had much luck with the Pure Poison or Booyah.
