my revo sx gen 2.

I know we had a rocky start but I have learned to love you with your flaws like a good man should.

Ive been trying to fish this reel exclusively as of recent. Ive kept my casting under control and been launching spro frogs miles down the canal. I had a few people comment when fishing at the distance, in disbelief. *

The drag has been really smooth when snakehead fishing. I decided to not lock my drag down all the way anymore to give the fish a chance. I know the drag is super strong when locked because if I get hung up I can still peel line on most reels I own on full lock. The revo's spool wont move..I can either get my bait back, attempt to pop it off, or pull down the tree limb or fence. I actually had to remove the spool of suffix because I got hung up on someones small wire fence and almost damaged it. I had to get a kid a few houses down to get the koppers frog off of the fence for me later on that day.

Im not skilled enough as some to have the brakes off or anything but Ive been satisfied with it at half way up or more.

*lights a candle*

I dedicate this song to you

Mines the same way. Its a first gen, bought it when they released them in 07 or 08, not my favorite reel but the thing is bullet proof and has grown on me also. Just cant "snap" your wrist when casting it. I keep 17lb mono on it and it quickly moves whatever it hooks.

I just got my revo stx and used it for the first time in our club's classic a couple weekends ago.

My gosh I love that reel already. I was hitting 3-4lb's up shallow with a spinner bait and that reel just flat turned their heads and pulled them up to the boat. It's like a warn winch.

You have the gen 3? I have one but I've yet to fish with it. Still debating on what rod to get for it.
