Super User iceintheveins Posted February 26, 2010 Super User Posted February 26, 2010 Zoom super fluke in white, baby bass, or lemon shad with a 3/0 EWG gammy. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted February 26, 2010 Super User Posted February 26, 2010 In the shallower waters, nothing beats a 4.5" sluggo. I prefer to throw soft jerks on spinning gear with a stiff action, MH spinning rod with 8 - 12 pound mono. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted February 26, 2010 Super User Posted February 26, 2010 I always have a freshwater rod in the car and on it ready to go is zoom super fluke. In my part of Florida the water is not deep and many high weeds in the canals, it's the perfect bait for me. I have experimented with rage tail with poor success, only to put a fluke back on and it produces. I work it weedless and as a top lure or barely submerged, not fussy on color as long as they are shade of white or light. For pond use I like storm with an exposed hook. I dislike any of the worms, not that they don't produce but I just don't care for that style of fishing. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted February 26, 2010 Super User Posted February 26, 2010 When I first tried the 7" Magnum Fluke, I wasn't able to get the same crisp darting action I got with the Super Fluke. Now I rig them a little differently, and no longer throw the tiny 5" fluke. > Zoom Magum Fluke (7") > Gamakatsu 5/0 Superline hook (26 grains) > Color doesn't seem to matter (but 'Bubblegum' is easy to see) Roger Quote
