That's what the banner at the top of the page said when I opened the forum this morning.

I cannot imagine who "unfriended" me since I don't do facebook. But that's OK. Whoever they were to friend me in the first place shows they have poor judgement. Who wants friends with poor judgement?

I got unfriended last week. Doesn't feel good, does it? :bushy-browed:

Apparently I'm thinking about purchasing some windows this week

i can't for the life of me understand why they would want to notify you of such a thing. childish would be an understatement. i deleted my acct a few months ago and would describe FB as "middle school"...high school being too much of a compliment

My guess is that you had to many friends and the system weeded some out for you. :cut::laugh5:

It's just something that comes with the forum software. If you click on someone's profile, there's a button to "add as a friend." I don't use it.

The advertisement you're referring to has been on everything from the weather website to this one.

Maybe it was the same three people who unfriended me. My feelings were really hurt. This weeks banner ad is for download manager software. They want me to click their ad to take me to their "webdite". Companies that can't even proof read their own ads don't inspire a lot of confidence in me.

Its like they want people to quite their site. I love BR but I might cancel my membership if every time i logged in I got messages like:

"You missed two frog hook sets today"

"1 dink stole 2 senko's from you"

"A 6lb pig inhaled and spit your jig and you didn't even know...sucker"

Don't shame me Glenn!

I can't say for sure but I would bet my next pay check that the purpose of that banner was to download a tracking cookie to your computer, all u would have had to do is touch it with your cursor. If u use Google you have a bunch of them. Ever notice how your junk email is related to what your internet searches are. Google, Yahoo and the rest make allot of money by tracking your internet activity and selling that info to marketing firms. They've been doing it for years nothing illegal about it. Same is true with your bank, every purchase made with a debit card is recorded along with what you bought, that info is then sold.

The fact that Rhino had 3 friends to begin with is what amazes me. The only one I can think of is Long Mike and by Rhinos own admission Mike has poor judgement. :blob9:

Hey Al, I finally saw why you don't like going to bed with Peg.

What makes you think Rhino is a friend? We younger folks from the south don't like hanging around with old people from the north. They talk funny and they fart too much. I may have poor judgment, but I'm not THAT stupid. :mockery-046:

Just kidding, Tom.

If you ask me, friends are over-rated. I think I only have 3 people that I really consider friends and not just aquaintences and I don't even see them anymore cuz they all went away to college out of state. Never got into facebook or myspace and all that. Seems like way to much drama for me.

Facebook is what you make it to be, nothing more, nothing less. I'm on Facebook nearly everyday, mainly reading articles and websites of interest that I'm linked. It's my choice to be or not to be involved with people on my friends list, I pay close attention to some and no attention to others.

I don't see much difference between a dedicated forum and Facebook, except on Facebook there is an unlimited supply of topics and interests.

I look at it like this- If I wasn't your friend in high school, then chances are I don't want to be your friend now.

Rhino, Have no fear. I'm your friend.

I'm not friends with anyone from high school. My best, lifelong friends I met after high school. In high school, you have to be friends with your classmates because you have to be around them everyday. Afterwards, you can pick whomever you actually want to be friends with.

X2. coudn't have said it better. You make it drama filled, the sites don't.

There are literally dozens of fishing give-a-ways and contests announced on Facebook every week or day for that matter. I have been lucky enough to win one or two things just by being persistent and always entering the contests. one was an FLW tshirt, the other was a fishing novel. Yeah, small items but still...free stuff is always cool. A lot of the blogging from pros and other fishing related distributors make great reads.

Other than that, i share photos of my kids, fishing, other events with my family and friends. I rarely converse through it. The people I want to talk to have my cell phone. I keep in touch with old friends and college baseball buddies. That's about it.

If he wasn't afraid before, he is now! :P
