2-4 rods, and twice that number of baits, scale, camera, nailclipper, stringer (to keep a big fish in the water- if and when I catch one- while I get my camera set up), couple of bottles of water, fishing license, 2 polarized glasses for different conditions, fish attractant (to mask my own smell), along with other non-fishing related stuff.

I'd walk for upto a couple of miles, depending on what locations I might want to fish.
