Super User flyfisher Posted October 28, 2012 Super User Posted October 28, 2012 I haven't thrown them that often but I have had some good success with a paddle tail fluke as a trailer. Also if you are having trouble with the skirts falling off spinnerbaits, chatter baits, buzzbaits etc...just secure them with one of the really small zip ties and you won't have the problem again. Knightiac Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 A buddy and I killed the pond behind my house last year, absolutely killed it. We used them so much that I haven't gotten a bite on one in over 8 months, LOL. The bass have learned better. The chart and red/white worked wonders for us. Bottom line is they work. I never even got fancy with them, just used the standard twin tails they came with. Quote
Tim Cianciola Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 i use the white and the black and blue with a rage chunk. caught alot of fish with them. Quote
craww Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Yamamoto hula grub with the tails lightly colored blue to mimic blue gill tail + secret weapon lures or strike king perfect bluegill skirt= dynamite. Love throwing chatterbaits. The Yamamoto grub is heavier than other plastics, I can throw this lure accurately from a distance more than any other bait. Quote
