Super User Nitrofreak Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 If I had to compare his deep ball it would be Flacco's that comes to mind. His short passing game reminds me of Sanchez's, hit and miss, but that has a lot to do with past players also, a lot of them were basically dropped passes from not having enough mustard on the ball, they were on the mark most of the time but the recievers were turning as the ball reached it's mark. I think if he gets in a team and he can create a rythm, he could be fun to watch, but if he gets with a franchise like the Jets again, who knows. Who is replacing Murlarkey? anyone know who the Jags are talking too? Quote
Super User MCS Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 Haven't seen anything in print, the one guy I was talking with was saying the San Frans O coordinator, maybe. Quote
Super User Nitrofreak Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 Reeeeeelly???? Hhhmmmmm, that could be interesting, might have to keep an eye on that !!! ....isn't Gore's contract up this year??? Quote
Super User MCS Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 I dunno about Gore but Jones-drew is in the final year. Tostin and Murphy were the last backs standing Quote

Super User MCS Posted January 11, 2013 Super User Posted January 11, 2013 Something with his foot, played the 1st 4 or 6 games Similar to what santonio Holmes had or just got surgery, he said he should have had it sooner. Quote
Super User MCS Posted January 11, 2013 Super User Posted January 11, 2013 Well our new GM said no Teabow here in Jacksonville and he has other QBs in mind.....Could we be in line for Vick? LOL Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted January 11, 2013 Super User Posted January 11, 2013 I heard Vick was going to go with Reid to KC but officially he is still an eagle until lthey cut him, which they will do because there is no way he is worth the 16M he is due next season. Quote
Super User Nitrofreak Posted January 11, 2013 Super User Posted January 11, 2013 I don't think it's a case of him being worth the 16 mil is it? The question is how much are they going to need to rebuild? and is Vic a part of that rebuilding? Vic has tallent but it's hard to show case that tallent when you spend your time running for your life, see my point? How long do you think for the rebuild is plauseable? i'm thinkin 5 at the very least with a productive season or two in there somewhere, depending on who they choose. I hear they are trying to talk to Gruden any truth to that? Quote
Super User MCS Posted January 11, 2013 Super User Posted January 11, 2013 I dunno about gruden, me and the guy at work hope(long shot) for Cowher. It will be interesting to see this new GM and who he has in mind versus the coach and what they have in mind. But with the comments yesterday is isnt Blaine Gabbert, Henne or Teabow. And apparently the impressions from the local sport talk guys were wrong about Khan, he isn't going to get Tim just to fill the seats, he reitereated yesterday it is about winning a superbowl. Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted January 11, 2013 Super User Posted January 11, 2013 I think it will be aboutthe money and he cannot play an entire season. I like the guy and how he made some stupid decisions and came through it all and has done a lot of great things now but Foles progressed nicely and i think he earned the chance to see what he can do behind a healthy offensive line. On offense the eagles have all the talent at the skill positions to score 30+ a game but defense is where the problem really had been since johnson died. No heart, no scheme and people look lost out there. The CB have blown coverages and every time they look back and say where were you like the safety was supposed to be hlping but didn't.....every week this year i thoguth to myself dang, I miss reggie white, jerome brown, hugh douglas, clyde simmons, Jeremiah trotter, Brian Dawkins....lol Then there is the whole what coach and what kind of system is he going to want which could mean they keep vick and let Foles develop a little more because you know he will get hurt eventually and Foles will have a chance to play. I know they interviewed Jay Gruden but not sure about Jon Gruden yet. I imagine they will pick some nobody but they will have a shorter leash than Reid did i am sure. Although Reid did earn a little more freedom since he took them to the NFC championshiop game in about 3 seasons if i recall and the superbowl in 5 or so. it is a tough time coming for philly sports in general...eagles are a mess, phillies are getting old (but i still have faith in them), sixers made a great trade for Bynum who is rapidly turning out to be a bust and then the Flyers can't seem to get over the hump or get a golatender not to mention hockey in general and their lockouts every few years....Guess i will have to count my blessings about the past 10 years of pretty good philly sports and go back to my days of when i became a fan and pretty much every team sucked.... Super User Nitrofreak Posted January 11, 2013 Super User Posted January 11, 2013 Well, I just hope it's not as long as Washingtons programs either, it seems we are finally on the up swing of things to come, we have a good baseball team, and now a good football program it would seem, at least we have a little hope looking to next season, good luck with everything and I can't wait to see what they have in mind up there in Philly !! Super User Teal Posted January 11, 2013 Super User Posted January 11, 2013 Lmao. Now that was funny. How about Carolina's O-coordinator, Rob Chuzinski, going to Cleveland as HC. I was a little shocked. Not that he got a head coaching job, but that Cleveland didn't go after a bigger name. Or someone like Ken Wisenhunt or Norv Turner. I'm hoping we can get Norv down in Carolina as o coordinator Quote

Super User Teal Posted January 11, 2013 Super User Posted January 11, 2013 Similar scheme that Chud ran since both came San Diego, and I'd like to see Norv in a reduced role with less stress. He is a great play caller IMO. Quote

I see Monte Kiffin to Dallas as the new DC. that will be interesting. He had some great Tampa Defenses. Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted January 11, 2013 Super User Posted January 11, 2013 When was Norv Turner successful in San Diego? All i remember is regular season wins and getting creamed in the playoffs in the first round. I do agree as an O coordinator he would probably be better though...head coach, not so much. Quote
Super User Teal Posted January 11, 2013 Super User Posted January 11, 2013 I wonder where Rob Ryan will end up. Any word that front Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted January 11, 2013 Super User Posted January 11, 2013 Hopefully nowhere. I can't stand that clown. Both him and his brother do a disservice to their dad. Quote

Super User Teal Posted January 13, 2013 Super User Posted January 13, 2013 Credit to Flacco for hanging tough. Ravens are not lying down tonight. Quote
