In informal "wagering" with friends and co-workers I have been 100 percent wrong. I have picked every single game wrong. I'd have been better off flipping a coin.

I intend to guarantee a San Fran win and pick the Ravens to win, in a close, low scoring defensive battle.

Where have you been ????????

I have missed seeing you around big guy !!

You know what you just did don't you, you came out of the closet huh? yes you did, we know you want the Ravens to win it's ok !!

Def above average on a team with alot of weapons. Almost 800 catches, over 10k yards, 60+ touchdowns. 14 years on the same team

The average nfl players career is 3 years. The average nfl player plays on 3+ different teams.

Donald driver average.....i think not.

He was an above average receiver who played in a market that gets a lot of media coverage. I don't know whether or not hes a HOFer, but he was more than average.

His longevity blew up his stats. he averaged 3.5 catches for 49 yds a game in his career, just average, especially with who his qb's were.

Nitro, I've been lurking but not posting much. Been busy around here. I'm teaching six courses this semester. Not much time for posting.

I really don't have a fav to root for. I was a 49er fan back in Montana/ Rice days, but that was long ago.

I think this was one of the best series of playoff games ever. I hope the SB delivers as well. I'm looking forward to it.

Deaknh just so we re on the same page. Im not saying hes going to the HOF. I seriously doubt that. We live in a society that still hasnt voted Andre Reed into the Hall...and Reed was DOMINANT durring the era that played. Im just saying that he is above average. So we can respectivley agree to disagree.

Driver was above average no doubt but i also think he was a standard compiler.  Above average for a long time who ends up getting good numbers.  To me there is something to be said about having a long career but i would have to say during his entire career he was no more than the best 3rd or 4th receiver in the league.

I do totally agree that Reed should be in the HOF without a doubt.

Driver isn't a HOF candidate, but is definitely a Packer HOF guy...and that's saying a ton.  He is one of the greatest 7th round draft picks in recent memory, and a class act.  He will be missed in Titletown.

On a semi-related note, here's a good article on how Ray Lewis was almost drafted by the Packers: http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/ravens-lewis-went-a-pick-too-soon-for-packers-308j3sf-189135481.html

I will say this much for Driver, I think he had some of the best hands in football, I do however think that if Green Bay was one of those teams like say Detroit, he would have shined much more and most likly had more catches and receiving yards which could have gave him an honest shot at the HOF.

Teams that like to spread the ball around seem to limit these kinds of tallent IMO and keep them from being in the HOF especially when there is multiple players that have the same tallent.

I don't really care about the stats, IMO it's how much did he contribute to the team, he did a lot for the Pack over the years and helped the Packers win a ton of ball games, in all seriousness, he had a great carreer and one player I will miss watching.

I hope everyone enjoys the Super Bowl, it should be a real fun game to watch!

I'm not planning anything or going to any SB parties, but I know I'll be enjoying some food. One of the dishes I'll be making and enjoying is a New Orleans Style BBQ Shrimp, jalepeno peppers and veggies over linguine. What are you planning on doing?

Fly its actually suggested to have one "cheat" day per week. So eat what u want!

  • Super User

No no, dont think that! The whole point of a cheat day is to demolish the pattern of eating that your body got it into through out the week. On my cheat day, its a 12 pack and three or four big meals that are 80%a grease! Love the ribs and fried chicken on cheat day...which is every sunday...and the occasional friday night

So now that CC made the hall of fame, and well deserved in my mind, what does that say about driver's chances?

I was comparing the two stat lines and I am thinking if it took CC 6 years to get in there is no way driver makes it.
