Super User MCS Posted January 23, 2013 Super User Posted January 23, 2013 No flyfisher, you're not far from the truth with Goodel...and you are a true fan for your team and I really respect that!!The location has a lot to do with it, heck, Jacksonville was darn near paralyzed for a week the year they hosted it. Fortunately I didn't live here then, but was in Tampa/St Pete area the yr it was there and didn't notice really a thing different. Lot to do weather the area is prepared for tourists or not. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 23, 2013 Author Super User Posted January 23, 2013 Cold climates would be nice to see, to me is a part of the game. Also I feel most of a teams fans cannot afford to go to the Super Bowl it would be way better if it was at least in one of the teams towns. Plus the local impact economically. Anyway enough of dreaming. Reality is the pro bowl sucks and the Super Bowl is all about $$$ for the NFL C'mon... The NFL is a money machine, but that doesn't take a thing away from the Super Bowl. My teams have won three and there is just nothing like it for a fan. I was a Chiefs fan when Kansas City won their game, Super Bowl IV. I waited 28 years for my next win in Denver, Super Bowl XXXII. Wait a minute, you were a chiefs fan that then changed to a broncos fan? I thought changing teams was bad enough but to another team in the same division???? I have to ask, what were the reasons for this swapping of teams? 1 Quote

Of course we had to look online to see which ones and I was shocked at the careers a lot of them have. Now to toot my own horn, I did date a chick in high school who became an eagles cheerleader later on for whatever that is worth 2 Quote

Super User MCS Posted January 29, 2013 Super User Posted January 29, 2013 Jeeze Joe at least win the superbowl first before you start all these crazy demands. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/reports-flacco-wants-20-million-063008969--nfl.html Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 29, 2013 Author Super User Posted January 29, 2013 So, back to the game (the Eagles aren't playing). It seems like the quarterback trumphs everything else in the NFL today. Other than that position, what do you think is key to either team winning The Big One? 1 Quote
Super User Nitrofreak Posted January 29, 2013 Super User Posted January 29, 2013 Lets see, for the 49ers, I think it's going to come down to how well Kaprenick does, they are no real big threat in throwing the ball, their running game is really the key to their offense so if he struggles they are done. Baltimore just simply has to play like they have played in the last few games, I see Flacco having a big day with Boldin, Rice will be at 100 yards or close to it. One thing for sure, 2 of the best defenses in the NFL, but I think Baltimore has the offense to beat. I can't wait, it's going to be a great game !!!!! What are you thinking RW? Quote
