Seriously, Peterson did something that is unheard of. He carried his team on his back and other teams lined 8,9, and sometimes 10 guys near the line of scrimmage because they knew the Viking were gonna run the ball and he still broke the 2000 yard mark.

Peterson is the NFL MVP in my book. I know a lot of people are going to say Manning, Brady, and JJ Watt and whoever else but all of those guys had great supporting casts.

I have to agree that AP is the MVP without question, even if he wasn't coming back from an injury but that makes his season even more unbelievable.

Not one of those offensive linemen made it to the pro bowl, all those yards gained and not one got voted in.

People talk about Manning and Brady, but Denver made the playoffs last year, and won a game, with Tebow at QB, so their team was already pretty good before Manning stepped in, and we all know the Pats are the best, and even without Brady a real good team, but the Vikings would suck without Peterson, and that makes him the clear winner of the MVP. Manning should get comeback player of the year, but Adrian's the MVP.

We have seen Co-MVPs before, I'd say make them both co MVPs and co - comeback player of the year.

I have to agree with nitro on this one. If the patriots weren't confirmed cheaters I would put Brady higher but they are so it negates a lot of success, much like roid heads in baseball.

They both have had the advantage of playing in very weak divisions too.

I took the liberty to put a stat sheet together for you, Look at any number you wish, but you tell me how much better you think Brady is, Brady has 7 years more in the league on Rodgers and his stats are not as good as Rodgers.

All the numbers aside, on the final drive of the game, I can't say there is another QB playing right now that I'd rather have directing my team down field to score than Tom Brady.

Nitro, I get where your coming from, no need to upload nfl.coms website. My point is, for a small sampling, they are both elite qbs, but Brady has done this for 12 years straight, without a letdown, using at times, scrap heap offensive components, blown a knee out, and still been elite. When Rodgers is done, we can then have an accurate comparison, until then its not the same.

I used to do the stat sheets back when I was placing "friendly" wagers on baseball and football, it's great to see the trends. I like the idea of the bass spreadsheet, if only for my catches.

I was looking up since it was mentioned about the doc who did petersons surgery, it was Doctor Andrews.

 

And while we are discussing ELITE qb's like Brady and Rodgers, don't forget Average Joe Flacco! lol

IMO Brady and Rodgers are right now equal, they can both single handedly lead their team to victory any given day. Stat wise, so far Rodgers might have a slight edge

but as stated I would only compare if they had similar tenure, the question can really only be answered when they are retired.

My point was that if you compare the two since 08, when Rogers actually started for the Packers, Rogers comes out on top, I stated recent history in my post not over the life long career of Brady. 

 

There is no doubt that Brady is better in the long run, he has had 12 years to Rogers 5, but if Rogers keeps going at this pace, sky's the limit for him.

LOL yeah if you are familiar with Joe, he was asked one time if he thought he was an "elite quarterback" and well Joe wasn't so shy, he said something like "yes, I would consider myslef in the top 5" or something like that. I would never class him with those guys, yet - he is having a Brady like start to his career number wise, but I will say this he is a hell of a lot better than Kyle Boller.

as much as it pains me to say it, Eli Manning is in the top 2 or 3 QBs in the league.  He has 2 superbowl wins with the first one i would say mainly because of teh defense but the second he was very much responsible for.

 

I really want to like Flacco but he is just to inconsistent for me which may partially be that he has never been in a pass heavy offense.

 

No matter what i would take either of them to be the Eagles QB, although i think Foles will be ok with a decent offensive line.....

 

Tough road ahead for RG.  Even if he heals physically, which is no guarantee, the thought of injuring the same knee with major surgery in the past 3 years has to weigh on him mentally quite a bit.
