Kevinator1 Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 I saw where Phil Marks used a prototype SK 10XD to help him win the FLW tournament at Sam Rayburn. I looked it up and that bait is huge. Looks to be almost 2x the size of the 5XD....(maybe that's why it is a 10XD) Supposedly it will dive approx. 25 ft on 15lb flourocarbon. Start working out guys, looks like this one will make you tired throwing it all day! Quote
Brian Needham Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 mark rose had a picture on his facebook page.....big for sure! Quote
1234567 Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Wow, I really like the sound of this, too bad it wasn't out 4 months ago! I have been waiting for a big oversized crankbait that I can plow through deep water. Quote
Brian Needham Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I think it is 4 months out from hitting store shelves........may it was 4 weeks......IDK it was one of em. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted October 16, 2012 Super User Posted October 16, 2012 Mark Rose's picture.... And it is 4 months out Jeff Quote
1234567 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 All the pictures with this crank show some very nice stout looking hooks, maybe owner st hooks? I hope it comes with these so they don't have to be changed out. Quote
Arv Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 I'll have to get some when they come out. If the bites tough, I'll just tie one and it'll be like catching a fish every time. Its huge! 1 Quote
TNBassin' Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 The 10XD will be a staple out here on Douglas Lake. They had that big bass tourney this past may, and you had to go super deep to get the big ones. Wouldn't be surprised if that tourney didn't influence this lure's conception. Quote
Crappiebasser Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 I saw it's 6" but I haven't seen how much it weighs. I have no desire to throw and crank a 2-3 oz bait all day. Quote
Super User Chris at Tech Posted October 25, 2012 Super User Posted October 25, 2012 I'll need to get a few for the next time I'm trolling for marlin 1 Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted October 29, 2012 Super User Posted October 29, 2012 It may be four months out for some stores, but it is more like six to eight weeks in general. It is a huge bait, reminiscent of the old bagley db series, only bigger bodies. It's a really neat bait for certain. Quote
livewire84 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Now available for preorder on TW... Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted December 22, 2012 Super User Posted December 22, 2012 According to the TW web listing - it's a whopping 1.92 oz.... Quote
Fishin24/7 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 That way to big for any lakes I fish. Am I the only one who thinks $15 is a little steep? Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted December 22, 2012 Super User Posted December 22, 2012 That way to big for any lakes I fish. Am I the only one who thinks $15 is a little steep? It's a little hard for me to start seeing that kind of price on a Strike King, but that is one big ol hunk of bait. At that price it will keep me from "collecting them all", but I'll get a few. Quote
Quillback Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Looks like something I can throw on my A-rig rod during the summer, to keep the A-rig rod from gathering dust.. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted December 22, 2012 Super User Posted December 22, 2012 That's one Mutant crankbait - Since it came out, I've taking more fish on the 6XD than all the other cranks combined - so I'm a big fan. If 10XD comes out in time - I'll be bringing a few down to Lake Baccarac in March. Maybe this "big fish" bait can work some magic in Mexico . . . . . A-Jay Quote

Just waiting on the last couple days of Christmas to put in my full Baccarac order! Jeff 2 Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted December 22, 2012 Super User Posted December 22, 2012 Jeff should I just send my money to you now? Who's going to crank it in after my first cast? I'm going to need a heavier rod. Quote
jhoffman Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 The 6 is my limit, thing is absurd how large it is. If I need to go deeper than that Ill figure out a drop rig or a jig pattern that will work Quote

Jeff Jeff should I just send my money to you now? Who's going to crank it in after my first cast? I'm going to need a heavier rod. I'm going to either go with my parabolic style flipping stick or my swimbait rod - either way that new 300D will be pressed into service. A-Jay Quote
