Bigs Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I use Matzuo sometimes, Dicks sporting goods sells them for 4 bux but they have been on sale for 3 bux lately. They catch fish about as good as a lucky craft pointer for me. I also have a dozen or so pointers but having lost a few over the winter, Im cautious about where I throw them now. Just cuz a lure costs 15-20 bux doesnt mean it's gonna catch way more fish. Quote

All the cost means is it cost more to make. I try and get the best baits not the most expensive. Quote
Primus Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I can't comment on Matzuo poppers because I haven't used them but I tried some of their cranks a few years back and these were some of the worst cranks I've thrown. The ones I sampled wouldn't run straight and no it wasn't a hunting action, couldn't even tune them. I'm glad to hear that not all their products are junk. Quote
Lucky Craft Man Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I would only need two brands, Lucky Craft and Megabass. Quote

Super User SirSnookalot Posted February 26, 2010 Super User Posted February 26, 2010 For freshwater I only need 1. My favorite jerkbait over the last few years has outproduced every competitor combined. It's only $2.99 and hard to find........Blaze minnow, their top lure is great too. They are far from the most durable but who cares if they catch fish. Quote
