SledgeHammer558 Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Whats up everyone. My name is Justin. I have been trolling the forum for a few days absorbing the information found here. I'm 25 and reside in Oklahoma City. Currently active duty Air Force at Tinker. Been into fishing for most of my life. Took a pretty large hiatus due to me getting into racing and building cars for a majority of my teenage years. I'm liking what i see on the forums lots of good information and everyone seems pretty friendly. Hope i can learn some new tips and tricks so i can stop loosing more than i catch. My best catch to date currently is a 17lb boat anchor that i hauled up off the bottom of lake thunderbird. Well i think thats enough. See ya on the lake. Quote

Super User Darren. Posted October 12, 2012 Super User Posted October 12, 2012 Welcome aboard, Justin! Hey, an anchor is a start! :-) Maybe next time you can haul up a nice pair of Costas, or something like that! Quote

SledgeHammer558 Posted October 12, 2012 Author Posted October 12, 2012 well priced it out and a similar anchor was like 40 bux or so, not bad. i actually hooked the rope for the anchor with a jig. pulled on the rope thinking it was an abandoned trot line or washed up jug line. turned out to be an anchor. i think my largest bass to date is in the 1lb range (guessing here) caught on the meramac river in st louis, where im from. didnt measure or really weigh it as i am a catch and release guy. thanks for the welcome guys its good to be here. I'm a rocks throw away from ya in Edmond. We don't have the best for Large Mouth in central OK, but there is a few good spots within a half hours drive. Quote
