#1 Gold.

1/0 Weedless

2/0 Weedless

Go with the weedless if you throw in a lot of structure or grass.  :)

I tried a few pakages of the Owners you linked to above, and while the hookup was good, the hooks were not very durable.  I would have preferred black nickel finish and cutting point.  Until they make that hook for me, I've great results with Gam. Finesse Wide Gap hooks in 1/0 and 2/0 sizes.

J Francho, what a coincidence I just bought two packages of the gammy finesse wide gap hooks in 1/0 & 2/0 sizes yesterday to take along on a trip to south Georgia later this week. I hadn't tried them yet but they looked perfect for the job.

I like the Falcon  3/0 - 1/16 K wacky weedless hook.  I know, throwing wacky rigs where I throw them, I'm going to lose hooks from time to time.  I seem to lose less of these than some of the other brands mentioned.

Finally some one else on here, besides me,who's using those hooks. They are my favorite for 5" and 6" Senkos. I like the 1/16th oz and weightless ones. For 4" baits I use the Gamakatsu finesse EWG in 2/0 both weedless and standard. For wacky rigging small baits on a DS rig I use a #1 Gammy DS hook.

I usually use either a 2/0 or a 3/0 ewg hook.  One of my faves for wacky rigging is a 3/0 ewg hook with 1/8oz keel weight.  Will get you a little better casting distance, is light enough to not mess up the action, but the best part is that the bait ALWAYS falls with the hook upright.  Meaning  significantly less chance to hang up on the bottom, and makes it easier to throw around stumps and other cover without hanging up.

I love those hooks. That's what got me hooked on wacky rigs. No pun intended.
