Super User retiredbosn Posted October 6, 2012 Super User Posted October 6, 2012 Looks like a Berkley flikr Shad to me Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 Looks like a Cultiva Rippin' Minnow. LINK Quote
Matt Jungblut Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 looks like a $1.97 lure from walmart I dont know the brand its always changing used to be renegade Quote
Super User MarkH024 Posted October 6, 2012 Super User Posted October 6, 2012 The color doesn't match the Flikr Shad offerings, but the body is pretty close. I'm looking still, I'll update if I find it. Quote
fromtheoldschool Posted October 6, 2012 Author Posted October 6, 2012 Cultiva looks close, but I don't think that's it. Might be on to something with the wal mart cheapo brand. It's a fish catcher for sure. Bass and red bellies. Thanks for the help guys! Quote
Super User WRB Posted October 6, 2012 Super User Posted October 6, 2012 Looks like a Berkley flikr Shad to me Close, more than likely a D house knock off in baby bass colo (BPS?) , the hooks don't match and the nose is slightly different. Tom Quote
Super User MarkH024 Posted October 6, 2012 Super User Posted October 6, 2012 I checked BPS and Cabelas brand. No luck. Perhaps a discontinued item. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Looks like a dead ringer to the Cultiva Rip N minnow to me, color #13: Quote
Super User WRB Posted October 7, 2012 Super User Posted October 7, 2012 The culttvia doesnt have a scale pattern, thinner through the back 1/3rd, pointed nose and Owner black nickel hooks. If you are looking a lure to replace the one in question, the Rip N Minnow is a far superior lure. Tom Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted October 7, 2012 Super User Posted October 7, 2012 That's the old Berkley Frenzy Shad. No longer available and near impossible to find. I think they were made for a grand total of three years. 99% certain that's what it is- albeit I'm on my phone right now, so I cannot see it as well. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted October 7, 2012 BassResource.com Administrator Posted October 7, 2012 Definitely not a Frenzy Shad. I have a lot of those, and still use them. Could be a Megabass lure. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 7, 2012 Global Moderator Posted October 7, 2012 It's one from the $2 bin at Wal Mart. That's about all they every have in the bins at any of the Wal Marts close by. A friend of mine used to buy them all the time and caught fish with them pretty well. I'm pretty sure it was Renegade that was making them at the time. http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1280&bih=929&tbm=isch&tbnid=OfZPdEYFrmyf6M:&imgrefurl=http://www.ecrater.com/p/5358939/7-renegade-pro-series-minnow-crankbait&docid=taZtRN2HHdsZvM&imgurl=http://s.ecrater.com/stores/69978/4aaf0f7e148e7_69978n.jpg&w=300&h=225&ei=BWNxUMeBL-aoyAGxsIDYDQ&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=334&sig=114353097855562036358&page=1&tbnh=147&tbnw=197&start=0&ndsp=20&ved=1t:429,r:19,s:0,i:140&tx=126&ty=92 Quote

I realize the hooks could be changes, can't change the design details. Tom Quote
